Question about Washing Machines
That is the code for a motor problem but it could be a wiring problem.
UNPLUG THE WASHER...
First--inspect all wiring connections at the MAIN BOARD . If good...
Inspect the wiring at the motor--remove the rear service access panel.
Remove the 17mm bolt at the center of the rotor--this can be tight as threadlocker is used (I use an 18 volt Dewalt Impact drill).
Pull off the round shaped rotor. Use some care--this rotor has magnets lining the inside of it--it's not super fragile but can crack if hit sharply.
Inspect the two plug connections to the motor for loose or frayed wiring. Also inspect the wiring which runs from the base (bottom) of the washer-to-the-motor. Once or twice--I have found wiring frayed from the gyrating tub assembly (repair as needed).
If no obstruction such as a nail or similar object can be seen in the drum (small holes in tub)...if the drum turns freely by hand--the most likely fault will be the MAIN BOARD has failed.
This job is very simple:
Remove (3) screws at the top of the control panel.
Pull the control panel towards you & upward.
Remove the screws that attach the MAIN BOARD to the Display Board. Install new MAIN BOARD.

CE stands for " Over Current Error".
The cause according to the book is
"MAIN PWB ASSEMBLY is out of order.
• Winding in the STATOR ASSEMBLY is short-circuited.
The door will not open until after you drain all the water out. There is a little access panel on the bottom of the front panel you can open and unscrew the cap to drain the water out if you like. As far as the CE error goes, it's generally the board itself that is bad. You can pull the unit forward and remove the back access panel to look at the motor on the back of the outter tub. If water is leaking on it or you see anything burnt then you may have a bad stator, but in generally it means you are going to need a new main control board.
Let me know,if needed further assistance.
Hope i helped you.

Welcome to FixYa
LE error in your LG front load washer is displayed when either the motor is not working or the control board thinks that the motor is locked up. A Hall effect sensor is used in these washer which monitors the speed and direction of the motor and then forwards this information to the control board. Hope you understand by now that this LE error is displayed when their is an issue with the motor or when the hall effect sensor sends wrong signal to the control. Conclusion is you'll have to check both motor and hall sesor and replace the part# that is bad, usually I have seen the sensor going bad. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.
