Question about ViewSonic VX924 19" LCD Monitor

1 Answer

Monitor problem did you ever find out what was wrong with your monitor? I think I'm having the same thing with mine. Just went out while I was on it yesterday, and at first i thought it might have overheated. So i let it cool, but everytime i turn the power on it, will just blink, power on, power off, power on, power off, fairly rapidly. Anyway, just checking to see if you found any solutions

The most common solution is that the board inside has blown capacitors. replace these ad you should be ok.

No Signal

Check your monitor. Mine did this and is an ACER. Make sure the cable in the back of the monitor didn't wiggle out. (Mine did.) Another thing to try is plug it in to SD if you're using HDMI. My HDMI port went out a while back so I had to use SD.

Screen went black, then said it was in power saver mode. Tower is on but nothing appears on monitor. what are the possible problems please. PSU or Hard drive?

Try hitting the power button on the monitor.... If that doesn't work make sure the i think "VGA" is connected... The cable with the blue thing on the end... make sure it is properly secured... in there.... There is nothing wrong with the hard drive.....

Monitor dead

Check your power cables properly and make sure it is attached. Check your power button, maybe you have pressed the wrong one.

No picture - blinking blue light. My daughter was

There are a few things you can check. First, try to see if the monitor cables are firmly connected on both sides (computer and monitor) no need to remove any cable for now just check the monitor cables (ends should be blue or white on both sides) Then check if you got an imput button on your screen (like all TV and some monitors now has) This input gives you the choice between a few possible connections and it may be on the wrong one. Just cycle trough the input modes and I think you will have your image back. If Still, you dont see anything, try a different monitor or try to connect your monitor on a different PC/laptop. In fact blinking blue could be there because the monitor is awaiting a signal on the input it's listening. At worst it could be because your video chip/card dont send a signal to your monitor, could happen, but imo it's probably not the case.

Dead monitor,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,lcd viewsonic

If the power supply is not wqrking then it is the invertor unit that has dies.
Replace the monitor is the best advice- If it that recent out of warranty may be worth contacting 'viewsonic to see if they will discount you one.

Check some of the other posts as it is probably just a bad capacitor or two and very easy to fix if you can do that sort of thing. I did and mine is back up and running.

Monitor not working...sorta

I just changed my video card and after turning up my screen refresh rate (Hz) my monitor started doing the same thing. Monitor worked great for a long time but now its done! The only thing I can think of is that it has to have 60Hz, turn it up for gaming and its too sensitive to frequency. By the way, mine will turn on after a few power cycles.
