Question about Cub Cadet Street Sign- tractor lawn riding mower parts

1 Answer

Cub Cadet 1641 won't start....

Tractor won't turnover. I replaced the starter, solenoid and PTO switch. When I turn the key it sounds like it is sending power to the starter (I get a clicking sound) but the starter will not engage.

Sounds like the battery doesn't have enough power to crank the engine

There are several safety switches located on the tractor that could be giving you the problem. The starter solenoid may be bad as well.

Cub Cadet LT1050-Replaced the solenoid, had starter checked out-it's good, battery has full charge, but mower won't start. Help!!

You need to check that there is a 12volt supply from the low tention wire at the solinoid when the key is turned, if there is not either the switch is bad, or the wire from the switch is bad, or the fuse has blown.

Cub cadet 1641 lawn tractor won't start

Beings you can get to the solenoid I would check it first. There is a small post (not battery or starter), touch a jumper wire from battery to this post. Then with a test light check the wire to that post w/key in start position (remember you must be in regular start condition for this test). If no light, you can only go to each switch one at a time and bypass then try to start again. Not sure how many there are.

Cub cadet 2135 wont start

check for a fuse behind the ignition
it might be blown
then i would check the starter solenoid
if you put a screwdriver accross the bolts that hold the wire from the starter and ignition switch and it tries to start there's ur problem.
