Question about Nikon Coolpix S210 Digital Camera

1 Answer

The battery is charged in my daughter's camera. Her friend returned the memory card that she'd borrowed. Both are in the camera, but it's not working. Any ideas? Thank you! Lisa

Canon 1100d can not turn on

When you try to switch on the camera, and oohing happens, the first thing to look at is the battery.
Make sure it is charged correct and if possible check its voltage with a multimeter. The voltage should be a little above the voltage printed on the battery. My guess you battery should be 7,2 Volt, so if the multimeter does not read at least 7,3 volt, your battery is exit, or at least not charged. Then you should check if all contacts, both on the battery and in the camera, are clean and shiny. You could clean the contacts with a dry cloth, or a cotton swap, NO SHARP TOOLS.
And the last thing to check is the battery / memory card cover, should be closed correct. There is a little latch or switch, checking if the door is open(ed), to prevent memory access when a better can be removed. Perhaps you van borrow a battery from a friend, to see if another battery does work?

My Kodak Easyshare caemra will only hold 3 photos.

You need to switch the camera over to saving pictures directly onto the SD card.
1: Menu, Cam settings, Chose AUTO or SD card option Press OK
Note: If the SD card isn't in the camera or is unreadable the camera will automatically go back to saving you taken pictures on the internal memory.
If successful please give me the feedback as a rating or recommendation. Thank you

I have the ex-s600 camera and am very happy with the camera but I just tried to recharge it and it never charges. The red light blinks continuously and never turns green.

Remove the battery and make sure the contacts are clean. It might even be sufficient (for a while) to just remove the battery and put it back in. If that works, you should clean the contacts.

The next step is to try another battery. If you can borrow one from a friend with the same model, do so. If that charges, your battery is bad. If it doesn't charge, ask your friend to try charging your battery in the other camera. If it charges, then try borrowing the AC adapter. That will help isolate the problem without spending money. If it goes this far, post a response on your results.

No flashing blue light when charging. Lens will not return into

Here are the steps:
1. Make sure you will install a new or fully charged battery/batteries into your camera.
2. Clean the battery contacts.
a. Remove the battery/batteries and the memory card from your camera, then wipe the battery contacts with a soft, clean cloth.
b. Reinstall the battery/batteries into your camera
3. Without the memory card, turn on your camera.
4. Pls test with an alt. batt.
If you do not have access to a dif. battery.
Pls. take the batt out of the camera. Insert the charger into the unit from the main socket and turn the camera on. If the camera works you will need to replace the batt. If not you will need to order a No power repair or possible alternative a new cable.

Wjen i put in the memory card it says there is something wrong with it however when it said it at first i bought a new one and it said the same thing with the new one

Try using the original memory card when you bought the camera. If this works, the last ones are defective and need to be returned or replaced. If you don't have the original memory card anymore, try to borrow one from your friend that has the same camera and try his/her card with your camera. If this works, your card is busted and buy another good one from a reputable store.

Nikon D70

Greetings,
It is actually an error message generated by your compact flash and means that the card is no longer readable. A lot of D70 owners have reported this error without being able to find another solution other than reinserting the card or changing the card to a different brand. In my D70s I use Sandisk Extreme III memory and, knock on wood, have not yet had this error. You could also try cleaning out the memory card slot and check to see that all pins are aligned and not bent.
Good Luck,
-WN
