Start by making sure your windows configuration is equipped with the latest updates. I installed a new hard drive in my computer and did a fresh install of XP. Once it was installed, I used the "Tools" tab on Internet Explorer to do a windows update. It took several cyles of doing this to get things worked through. For instance, Update won't offer the Service Pack 2 unless you've already updated to Service Pack 1. After 2 or 3 or more cyles of running Update and rebooting my computer, I suddenly discovered my wireless feature was up and running. Once it is actually in operation, you will need to configure it using the menus. I'll leave that discussion to another expert.
This is a simple one, and VERY EASY to remember 1) go to www.tmobile.com/bbupgrade and download the soft-wear for you 9000 (save it to the desktop to make it easy to find) 2) install the soft-wear to the hard drive. Just downloading it will not install it3) plug the phone into the computer (has to be a PC) 4) copy and pasted this link into the run button that can be found via the "start" button on your PCC:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Apploader5) double click on the "loader.exe file
Well the network adapters don't have anything to do with IE and FireFox. Those programs got corrupted for some reason. Best thing to do is go to microsoft website and download a fresh IE and then find firefox website and reload...
I RUN BOTH XP AND VISTA ON THE SAME SYSTEM YOU ARE BEST TO PARTITION THE DRIVE AND PUT THEM IN SEPERATE SECTIONS, I USE XP FOR KIDS OLDER LEARNING PROGRAMS WITH 256 RESOLUTION AND UPTODATE PC ON VISTA SIDE. AFTER FDISK FORMATING DRIVE I FIRST INSTALLED XP IN PARTITION THEN UPGRADED WITH FRESH INSTALL OF VISTA TO SEPERATE DRIVE , WHEN BOOTS ASKS YOU WHICH START UP SYSTEM YOU NEED N U LOAD DRIVERS IN NORMAL WAY AND GET DRIVERS OFF INTERNET , U CAN USE VISTA SETUP TO GET DRIVERS PUT ON DONGLE THEN RELOAD ON XP AND LOAD DRIVERS.
YOU WILL HAVE TO ADD A PARTITION TO YOUR DRIVE IF GOT SPACE AND DONT WANT TO START FRESH. THEN SEE IF XP CAN BE LOADED ONTO IT ILL TRY IT ON MY SYSTEM TO C IF LET U GO BACKWARDS RATHER THAN UPDATING

There could be several issues, but random restarts can be difficult to debug. For now, I'd start with the easiest and that is a memory check.
Visit www.memtest86.com and download the free bootable floppy or CD (burn the ISO file with free ImgBurn utility if you have no ISO burning application).
Boot the problem system with the floppy or CD and the memory test should start automatically. Let it run over night and see if errors are reported.
