Is this the same process for the WS-65511. I have the same problem green light does not stop blinking. I removed the DM power board #935c986002 which postings show replacing the 7 caps. I also found the board that has the 4 caps under it. Which is the more likley cause? None of the caps look to have any issues.

To those who have tried replacing the four capcitors on the DM board without getting the desired results... take heart! When my WS-55513 developed the "blinking green light of death" syndrome, I embarked on a project of fixing it myself based on info I had gathered from others experiencing the same problem. Went down to Radio Shack and got the closest thing I could (1000mf/35V) and crammed them into the availble space. Hooked it all back up and... nothing. Pulled it apart and resoldered the connections just to be sure and... nothing. Pushed it into a corner and went down to Wal-Mart and bought a brand new RCA 50". After months of trying to figure out what to do with the old TV, I finally found a place that would take it off my hands for $50. But... being the frugal and persistent mr fixit that I am I decided to give it one last shot, and went down to the only remaining electronics shop I could find in town and got 4 new capacitors that appeared to be a better fit. Replaced the Radio Shack ones, put it all back together and plugged it in... only to see the blinking green light again. BUT.... after about 30 seconds the light went off. Hit the power button and miracle of miricles... IT WORKS! I don't know if the issue was due to the choice of capacitors, or perhaps a soldering issue, or not reseating the DM board properly or what.... but the moral of the story is... don't give up!

Do a search and you will find a lot of us that had the same problem. The issue is probably 4 bad capacitors on the DM board. The parts to fix it cost about $2.
There used to be a "how-to" detailing how to do this repair, but I can't find it anymore.
These are the capacitors you need..
