Question about JVC AV-27530 27" TV

1 Answer

No sound on several channels.

I have just recently experrienced a problem where I get no sound on seveal cable channels. Those same channels work fine on the other tv's in the house so I have concluded that it is not the cable signal. I have gon through and reprogrammed each channel, checked the mute, etc, and nothing has helped.

Any ideas, or is the TV just worn out.

Switch the cable box from one tv to another one see if the box you changed works on the tv set you removed the cable box from on all channels if it does work after you swap out the box then it has to be bad!!!

Hi, I have an AVR-1906, and the sound does not work for cable. Tuner, etc sound works fine, but alll I am getting is a clicking noise similar to a heartbeat from the speakers when I try to watch cable....

Since the other inputs are working normally, there's probably nothing wrong in the receiver. I'm assuming you have a cable box and are feeding the audio from that to the receiver. If so, the settings there may have changed so that it's not outputting audio correctly (set for a different audio channel, for instance) or something has gone wrong with the box. (Recent storms in my area have caused problems with cable and FiOS boxes for several people I know, and they needed replacements.) If you're using an HDMI cable, try using the RCA audio outputs and see if they have the same trouble. I suspect you'll need to contact your cable provider to resolve this.

Crackling is not good. Sounds like it needs to be serviced if all of the connecting cables are in good working order. It can be repaired by Rita's Vintage Audio in WA state. They are expensive but good.

Sound on 2 channels a problem

I diconnected a recently acquired Panasonic DVR which was hooked up between my TV and the cable signal source, but this had no immediate effect on the two channels. I then reset the TV by unplugging it over night, and by changing the settings on the sound menu. These actions removed the problem. Is it possible that the DVR caused the problem?
