Question about Sewing Machines

1 Answer

My Janome Model MX3123R sewing machine not working anymore. The last time I used it was extra extra slow and now does not even work. The light is still on though. Is there a easy way to fix it? Is there a fuse that blew like someone said?

Regular oiling do help. The pedal that you press with your feet is usualy the problem, most of them got carbon contactors inside and it can be burnt. Open and clean with fine sandpaper. If that do not work the motor can be faulty. You can E-mail me Enjoy from Willem SA

My Janome memory craft model 9000 sewing machine is now sewing at one slow speed. The quality of the stitch is good but too slow what should I look for?

Your speed slide sensor is bad. Your local repair shop can fix it. There is a chance it's the foot pedal. If it's still slow when you sew without your pedal, then it's the sensor.

Own a Janome 4000 and it is working in slow motion. It's computerized but no place to oil it. Has not been used for several years.

although the machine is computerised, the moving parts are still mechanical and may be stiff, try a lubricating spray

The light on the contro;l panel is not working on my Janome 8000 embroidery sewing machine, the technician at the Janome centre said it could not be reapired?

I would suggest to take the sewing machine to some other repair
shop, for a second opinion. but if the sewing machine is very old
then they may not make the parts anymore for it. if that is the case
then thinking about trading the machine in would also be a option.
did the technican give any reason why they couldn't repair the

Take into the shop and have it looked at. Even if it is a fuse, you may not be able to obtain the right type or replace it.

Expect to pay around $60 - 80 just to have the machine looked at.

Sewing machines need to be routinely maintained just as you should a car to keep them both running.

Looking to purchase a Janome Memory Craft 5700 - refurbished

Yes, you have to have the customizer to download patterns. They are not being made by Janome anymore, so you have to find one on the web. The 9000 also uses memory cards. These are not made anymore either so the same applies- try the internet. And make sure you get the ones that fit the 9000 or the 5700. Best luck -I have the 5700 - a stripped down version of yours. linda
