SEGA HELP NEEDED!! PLEASE!!

I have an old school Sega Genesis. I have no problems getting it to power on, but what comes up on the screen is just a white bar on a black screen that moves up and down. There is no sign at all of a game. Please help.

I have an old sega genesis and got new plugs to plug it into my 42'' HDMI Vizio. all the plugs are in and the light is on but the screen stays blank. I have tried blowing on the game and got the...

Did you say HDMI? I don't think there are HDMI plugs for Sega Genesis. You can plug in your Sega via composite video through RCA cables (yellow, red white) or via RF signal through coaxial cable. Check your TV's specs to make sure it can display standard definition content via composite or via RF.

You can double check to make sure your Sega Genesis is working properly by plugging it into an old-fashioned CRT (fat tube) television set.

When i plug in me sega genesis and plug it in to the t.v. no screen comes up not even a black screen how do i fix it

Check these things first:

1. The power supply puts out enough voltage and works okay.

2. Channel selector switch is in the channel 3 position.

3. Replace the AV/RF cable with a known good working one.

Does the Genesis power light come on?

Sega megadrive 2 never comes to black screen just snowstorm

Ensure that the switch on the back of the unit is set to channel 3 or 4, and that your TV is tuned to this channel. Additionaly, make sure that the rf switch is properly wired in to your television and that no wires have come loose or fallen out.

Fuzzy picture and no sound

if it has av cable inputs on the console then its a modified system, and chances are something is either loose inside or fried.

Sega Genesis not showing a picture

As I had just a similar problem with my MegaDrive/Genesis maybe this helps: Try an older TV set. I am not joking. It might very well be the case that newer TV sets/high-end TV systems can't handle the signals of the older video game systems. I have a 100 hz TV set and whereas there are no problems with a SNES, with the MegaDrive I just had a black and white screen with bars running through it. On a 60 Hz TV set this problem does not occur. Keep in mind that there were no 100 hz/HDTV sets around when these video game systems were in general use.

Sega genesis 1993 model broken, no picture, just black

Actually somethign like that happened to mine. you might want to try to place a piece of paper in the front of the cartridge that will make the cartridge stay all the way back this is due to the fact that some of the connectors were messed up and had to be extremely close to work.
