I have a kenwood krc-x957 flip down cassette player with cd changer. The problem is I have not used the radio in 4 years and cannot remember the code. There is a reset button on there, but even if you reset it the code keeps coming back on. Can't do anything till I put the code in, and I cannot remember the code.
Psionics, that won't help, this lock code is a security device and it won't say how to reset on that page, either snoop you will have to try every code from 0000 to 9999 or you will have to take it to a dealer or call the manufacturer like I said before, I'm sorry but this is one flaw with forgetting the password. Please don't hesitate to ask if you need further help, but we can't help you much more than this.

You can try 3510, as that is the code that is illustrated in the owners manual, but that is not guaranteed to work. If you have forgotten the code, then you will need to call Kenwood for assistance
The code will only be available from your Main Dealer or by using a Radio Decoding Service who will read the working code inside your radio`s memory chip (EEPROM) using a laptop and special software
You didn't write them down, or remember 4 numbers that mean something to you. And now the receiver won't operate with out the correct security code. If you can't remember you need to have a Kenwood Service Tech reset the code. He'll be glad to do it for you.
Code entry on a Kenwood KRC-X957: 1. press the MENU button till the word "MENU" appears on the display; 2. Press the >> button a couple of times till the word "Security" is displayed; 3.
