I plugged the cable to the INternet on the back of the D-Link DIR-655 to ap printer and then plugged it back into the router. We now have no wireless to our laptops. We have internet through wildblue and it works on the desktop that is connected to the box.
Any ideas or suggestions? Could I have damaged the cable and would it need to be replaced? Did I lose information? I am lost!

Does folder sharing work through WiFi? Might be that the IP ranges are not in the same subclass network if the IP numbers are not coming from the same DHCP server. Did you check the IP number on Computer B in case of the cabled connection and when it is connected on the WiFi? They should only differ in the last digits, not the first 3 groups.
On the laptops, check that your Internet is set to use "Private" networks as opposed to "Public". Private networks allow others to see you and you to see others on the network, once you've entered the proper pass phrase as set up in the router's software. Your Manual for the router has the instructions you need to complete this process.
does it loose the conection constant over wireless, if so make sure u dont have two software wireless management programmes running try remove one of them and let windwows manage the conections for wireless
check the connections between the router and the modem either cable or dsl or whichever
and change the setting in the router interface so you know what the ssid is being broadcasted and the network key
You should not need to enter any of that information.
The router will find the internet on it's own, once the ethernet cable is connected and the router is turned on.
Press the reset button at the back of the modem for 20-30 seconds, this resets the router to square 1. Power down, wait 30 seconds, then power back up. You should have internet connection to the router, which can be tested by connecting another ethernet cable from the router to the ethernet connector on your computer.
