My iphone screen won't respond to touch and when I try to turn it off to reboot, I can't because I can't even slide it off. What do I do?

Press both the on/off button along with the home button for 10 seconds.

Screen will go black.

An apple should show up.

Release them.

Phone will reboot.

If not, press the on/off button for 2 seconds and release.

Phone will boot up.

Should fix.

If not, you'll need a replacement LCD or digitizer. Send it into apple if you have warranty. If not, take to a mobile phone repair store.

Check the 2 pins connected on the home button if touch the interface of the board,might not hitting that is why the slide unlock not working.

May be the screen becomes dirty due to daily use.

Please clean the Touch Screen of the phone with good screen cleaner properly.

Then try use the Touch Screen.

try a soft reset hold power button and middle button at the same time until you see the apple logo...if that doesn't work you could always plug it into itunes and click restore factory settings

try hard reset (hold down the power button and the central button until you see Apple logo on screen). If this wont help then use RESTORE.

Try rebooting the phone completely. Hold down the Home & Power buttons for 5 seconds until the phone goes off completely. Then try turning it back on.

sorry to say my friend that ur digitizer called touch panel is faulty u need to get it replaced it is around 80 $ , but u can first try resetting the device if u have warranty then i will suggest that u take it to the service provider b4 doing anything but if u dont have then simply look for a replacement of touchpanel or digitizer
