Question about Akai LCT2662 Television
I saw your solution about changing the caps. Since I have no clue what that means and my husband doesn't either. How would you go about telling a repair man what to do.
I persoanlly would tell him to remove the power supply and replace the capacitors as needed, the common failure of this module in this chassis TV. Or you could have your husband take the unit off the wall, remove the back panel to access the boards and unplug the power supply himself and send just that in for repair. He would be VERY surprised how simply that is...
The power supply in this unit is clearly accessible. A few well marked connectors to unplug and some screws that hold the SMPS to the board. Then simply send it to PTS or any shop of your choosing and get it repaired. Then simply re-install it..
Last one we repaired here in the shop was $234.50 including tax.
