A link to a Poulan "PP4620AV Gas Saw” follows (may not be your saw):
http://www.ordertree.com/modelinfo/PWE/PP4620AV-Gas-Saw/75.PP4620AV-Gas-Saw.1.59.1.html

If not your model number all IPLs can be found here:
The IPL (exploded parts list) for your saw is beneficial with disassembly/reassembly:
Poulan.com
http://www.ordertree.com/modelinfo/POULAN-WEED-EATER/75.59.html
The dash number of your serial number is the type.

The 4620 link has an outboard clutch remove it as demonstrated here (chain brake must be released else difficult to remove the clutch cover and impossible properly to reinstall):

  1. Check the IPL for your saw to see if any special tools are needed. Poulan (Craftsman, Jonsered, Husky) clutch removal tool part number 530031112 if needed, is under $5 from many sources (look at the visible area between the weights if 2 small round sockets are visible you need the tool).
  2. There are metal piston stops available, when square (almost never) with the piston top these work well, if not square they have been known to punch through the piston. I suggest a length of nylon rope (nothing left behind) be used instead of the piston stop (retain 6" ± so you can remove it). Make certain the piston is near the top of the cylinder before feeding the cord or it can fall through the exhaust port and damage the piston as it rises.
  3. Everyone I have ever removed had a left handed thread (tighten it to loosen it).
If you have more questions or need additional help please reply below and I will get back to you. HTH & Good Luck.

How do i replaceclutch drive on a poulan chainsaw p4018wt

Attached is a video from YouTube Donyboy73. In it he removes a clutch and sprocket from a Poulan 2150. I know this is not your saw, but also know all 2 cycle chainsaws are very similar.
There are many helpful chainsaw videos on YouTube. I hope this helps.

Cannot get chain back on bar of poulan pro electric chainsaw model 1630

Slide the bar on the studs all the way to the left, or rear of the chainsaw, and feed the chain around the motor sprocket, THEN along the top of the bar to the right, and around the bar's sprocket at the right end of the bar, if this doesn't work, report back. This is the original bar and chain correct?

I need to know how to replace the sprocket on poulan model 4620 chainsaw

It is a Poulan PP4620(dependent on clutch adjuster - AV, AVHD, AVL or AVX)
Poulan.com/CurrentModels (Check in Illustrated Parts List (IPL) box)
http://www.poulanpro.com/node4043.aspx
Type just the model numbers (choose the suffix after the list is provided).

All 4 of these display an outboard clutch, use this as a removal guide:

Want to change sprocket on poulan 4620 avx to 3/8, for ripping chain.

41569X is an Oregon 6 spur sprocket for a PP4620AV. It is not listed with the PP4620 or the PP4620AVX, I think it will work. Please verify this with Oregon here:

I think this saw may be small for use with a mill but it is your decision.

I am reasonably this saw has an outboard clutch, this will help with replacement.

Poulan Super25DA old chainsaw from the mid 70's.

Call your local Power Equipment Dealers and ask if any of them deal with OREGON replacement parts.
OREGON makes clutch drum, chain and bar combinations in the thousands!
NOTE: Along with clutch drum and chain replacement, your bar will need to be changed also, as the sprocket-tip in the nose of the bar will be a different pitch.

Chain sprocket

I looked at a breakdown for the 42CC not sure if the same one or not but it appears that the chain sprocket is held on by an Eclip and behind that a flat washer. If this doesn't look like yours give me the model number and I will research another breakdown

my name is Dennis Gladx and I can assist you with the problem of getting the sprocket off of the crankshaft of your chainsaw.

To remove the centrifugal clutch and sprocket you unscrew it from the crankshaft and it has a left hand thread. Also a little trick to remove anything from a crankshaft that could turn while you want to unscrew the item, Remove the spark plug and insert some rope into the cylinder for the piston to squeeze against and you will jam the piston without damage.

Glad to be of assistance Please rate this solution because I can learn from your rating. Thank you
