SOURCE: My left earbuds on my JVC gummy earphones went out.

I have this problem all the time with my JVC earbuds. This may sound a little gross but it will work. I put the ear phone in my mouth and **** on the end of it pretty hard. What I have found is that sweat or even wax will plug the little hole and prevent the sound from coming out.

SOURCE: Right Earphone has stopped working.. left one

Sometimes the lead can break clean, internally, but most often it's inside the plug. If you are good with a soldering iron cut the plug off and fit a new one. But I would open the Right headphone first and see if you can see if the speaker works. They look like you will have to take off the pad first, remove any foam from the front, you should see screws to open it up.
Test the speaker with a low voltage battery, it will pop if connected to the terminals.

SOURCE: left earphone works, right one doesn't

Probably a shorted wire and will need replaced. Some times bending the wire between your fingers will make it work again for a time.

Rotating the jack or twisting the wire joint on the headset might work.

Left earphone has lower volume than right

Maybe you can try adjusting the plug, or the wire within the left earphone is rusted, or change the sound effects on a computer.

Headphone problem

Hi there and welcome at Fixya, the support team (lfete)

Please try with another pair of earphones and see if it works :O)

If it works with the another earphones, then you have to check yours :

1.See if the cable and connectors are ok
2.Try to move the cable a little bit all the way (you can move it up and down)
3.Then be sure that it is inserted the whole way in, some times you can connect the earphone nearly in to the product, that means one of the right/left side will not play.
If is still not working please return here again

Hope it helps

Have a nice time over there

The left speaker is not working. only the right speaker is working. can anyone describe how i can open the case and inspect the headphones myself?

If the left earphone is completely deaf, then the problem is the input jack, and the usual solution is just to buy new headphones. I've had this problem with the earphones for my iPod.
