Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)

My display is green in colour and it have one green line from top to bottum,

Welcome to Fixya.

Here's what you can do if this monitor is connected to a computer:
  • Try and connect the monitor with another known good working computer, or go to the BIOS mode (by tapping on DEL key while the computer is turning on). If problem continues when connected with another computer or in BIOS mode, then the monitor needs to be serviced.
  • If problem is not present in BIOS or with another computer, then I strongly recommend to re-install the operating system of the machine (using your computer's recovery discs).
Hope this helps,
Thanks for using Fixya.

My tv remote doesnt work from a distance i have to go very close to my tv for it to work, i have changed the batteries though.

There are several possible reasons. The light-emitting end of the remote, or the remote sensor window on the TV, may be dirty. The light-emitting diodes in the remote may be misaligned from dropping the remote control, or they aren't putting out as much light as they should. The TV may have another light source shining on it that prevents it from picking up the remote signal until it gets very close. The remote sensor in the TV might be bad. Or there may be an interfering signal. As more people start using compact fluorescent lamps (CFLs) in their homes, they sometimes find that remote controls begin acting strangely. It's also possible the replacement batteries you put in are weak, so you might try another set.

Sorry I can't tell you which of these is most likely. I've seen them all many times. Try another set of batteries first, then try a universal remote to see if the problem is in the TV or the remote.

Good luck! Hope this helps, and thanks for using Fixya!

Help

An Ethernet adapter is a network card adapter that allows you to connect another computer that also has an Ethernet adapter using a network cable to transfer files and allow remote access to the second computer. It is also used to plug in from a cable modem to allow you Internet access through you provider. You might already have one built in to your computer. Look for a small connector that resembles a telephone connector but it is a little bit bigger in size which is typically located on the back of the computer. Hope this helps.
