How do I connect Active speakers to my Denon 3805 AV receiver?

Your Genelec 1037C monitors are professional design with balanced inputs. Balanced inputs expect a low impedance signal with pin 1 earth, pin 2 hot and pin 3 cold. Because the Denon amplifier supplies a pre out for the front speakers (the first pair in the set of pre outs) at 1.2 volts and high impedance, you will need to convert the signal close to the amplifier with a stereo active DI box. Plug the pre out directly into the input of the DI with a SHORT lead and then plug two standard balanced microphone type cables ( XLR to XLR) into each of your active monitors. You cannot make a cable that is RCA to XLR by shorting pin 3 to earth to do this job properly. The inputs on your Genelecs expect a signal in the range -6dBU to +6dBU for rated output. A suitable DI box would be for example a Klark Teknik DN200. Hope that helps.
Cheers, Don.

Hi is it possible to connect a laptop to a denon 700aedab for music playback

HI, very possible. Just follow this instruction:

All yo need to use for the connection is to get an RCA TO STEREO JACK HEAD (use the google image to see the type of cable).. Connect to denon 700aedab, make sure that the denon 700aedab is on either aux, tunner, video, etc. Those auxillary options on your denon 700aedab.

Connect the RCA into the aux of the denon 700aedab and connect the small jack head into the laptop ( where you plug in earphones),and play and enjoy your music.

If it does not play with aux try tunner, or video, one mustplay, and if it does ot play any, that means either the port of your laptop or the denon 700aedab port is faulty.

And don't forget to connect the speaker, because diffidently you will sure hear absolutely nothing with out the speaker.

Feel free to pass your comment .

Thanks for using fixya.

What model speakers?

Didn't these things come with manuals?

Speaker connections from the Denon are typically through speaker cables (glorified lamp cord).

The Denon is not capable of driving the sub directly. The powered (?) subwoofer in your setup would presumably require an RCA cable (whatever length reaches) to feed its amplifier a bass signal from the Denon's Subwoofer Out.

Need wiring diagram for Sony XM-E70 Equalizer/Amp

You need 1 thick ground cable ( usually brown)
you need 1 thick power cable ( same thickness and wire as ground usually red )
you should have 1 rem wire ( thin blue )
RCAs, 2 for sub, extra 2 for 2 speakers.
The rest I have no idea what they are.

You need speaker cables to sub or amp.

Some products use different colouring. Maybe the 9 pin connector is for head deck to speakers.

Speaker crackle

HDMI is a High Definition Multimedia Interface and has the capability to transmit both AUDIO and VIDEO all in one cable. Your setup right now is transmitting 2 audio frequecys (L/R stereo RCA and HDMI) into the Denon inputs. Not necessary! I would recommend eliminating the red/white audio cable from the direct tv box to the Denon.

After doing such, your receiver should be able to process audio/video signals appropriately. REMEMBER to unplug all POWER CORDS before reconnecting any speaker/audio/video cable, as it may cause a small electrical surge and fry a micro component in your system!

No dish network sound through denon 1609 receiver

check the setting for the HDMI connection at the Denon you may have to assign the HDMI audio setting also on the front of the Denon while in the DVR mode press the input mode button on the front of the Denon to select auto and if that doesn;t give you sound you will have to connect a cable from the DVR optical.coaxial or analog audio output to the Denon and setup for that type of audio connection
