Have you checked the paper cartridges? If you have supplied the paper cartridges with paper but the no paper message sill persists the sensor in the cartridges might not be functioning.
This might be due to a data overflow, or a lack of memory in your laser printer. Laser printers are page printers, they build an image of the data and store it in memory at one setting. You need to check if your printer has enough memory to handle text and graphics from your file. Reduce the resolution of the file you are printing. If you're usually printing at 600 dpi, reduce your setting to 300 dpi. Or you might add memory to your printer. Hope these suggestions will help your problem.

Not that. It will print an email, or something off a web site OK and some word docs. I just opened a word doc attached to an email and printed fine. so opened other word docs in my file and just says ready print pending. Once it has refused one doc it refuses everything - including what it had just printed a few minutes before. If I turn it off at wall then on again it sometimes prints what is in queue. If I cancel queue and start again it will do same thing. print the email and word doc downloaded from email, but not word doc from my file and refuse to print anything else. I had given up printing with it and was just using it for a scanner and photocopier.
Previously it was doing same thing but saying no paper. Doesn't say no paper now, but if i put a sheet in the manual feed slot - it prints what it had just refused. That is what it used to do - but it never refuses to photocopy. I thought it might be software. I reloaded the installation disc driver. Very frustrating it was a lovely printer till it became temperamental.
Thank you Jongcur. I am sure that has something to do with it. The average size of word files that I had been regularly printing were around 350KB without any problems. When I first had the problem my son in law suggested that about memory and I realised the file it would not print was way too big (19MB) so I dealt with that. But since then it does it on a very small files like 15KB. It is almost as if after upsetting it with the 19MB Word file, it panics at anything coming from Word. Files it was happy with before it will not print now.
keeps saying Paper jam or Door Open but it isnt starts to print gets really excited then cuts out
