Hi. When you have your charger plugged in, do the LED's on it look normal. Sometimes the internal wiring and/or connectors in the scooter can be faulty. I f the charger is not connected to the batteries then it wont charge. The charger uses the battery voltage as a reference to regulate itself. Some times the socket that the charger plugs into will become faulty. The connections in the plug do not work properly. If you feel any heat or warmth from this connection then it should be replaced. I have seen these plugs melt from the heat. Good luck. Neil.

Not always the batteries, the chargers are made like garbage, I've gone throught 3 on my power wheelchair. The wheelchair companies will charge you over $300 for new chargers, check EBAY and get one for under $76 they work great and have a warranty

Who fixs batter charger fix ya

It would be helpful if you provide the model number of your Pride Wheelchair. Also it would help to know which part of the world you live in so that we can direct you to the correct location for service center or dealer who could help.
If the charging light does not come on then it does not necessarily mean the charger is faulty. It could be the battery itself or the power chord or plug could be an issue. There is also sometimes an internal fuse for the charger that could be blown.

In the meantime look at this website to check if your model is listed.

Reading the charging gauge for a jazzy 1103 ultra

if you mean the lights, they are just a tool to estimate usage, if you mean the amp guage on the rear, depending on battery state, the needle can start at 2-5 amps and slowely go down as batts are fully charged, if left plugged in the charger will do a random maint charge, and move the needle slightly

I have a Jazzy 1113 ATS .The batteries are bad .I charged them individily on a different charger .I plugged the onboard charger in but do not get a voltage reading on the plug to the batteries .

huntin you might not get a reading at the plug to the batteries because if its not connected to a load the charger might operate until it senses a load. a better way to check would be to plug the charger into the outlet and take your meter set it to 200 volts dc and plug it into the two outter holes of the chager port located under the front of the joystick. you should get 27-30 volts dc with the charger plugged in. when you unplug the charger you will be reading the battery voltage. After charging overnite you should be reading 26-30 volts dc if you aren't getting that voltage replace the batteries Hope this helps

New batteries won't charge on Jet3 Pride Chair. I've pushed the reset button and have voltage from the receptacle. Thanks if you can help!!

Lets make sure the all battery terminals have the correct cable ,heres a web sit that you can go on to double check.

Page 40 shows a diagram that covers it all.

Next after confirming that everything is connected correct, plug the chair in like if you where going to charge it,

I want you to check your ammeter if the needle moves to the center of the gage your charging if not you may have a bad charger.

Good luck hope i was helpful

Pride Sundancer. Batteries will not charge. both batteries test about 50% charge. When I plug charger in to 110v, the needle on rear of unit barely moves. When I turn on key, charge indicator on on dash...

batterys may be to low for charger to pick them back up.Sounds like new batterys to me .dobble check that charger just in case by volt testing the neg and positive wires on one battery ,When its hooked up .then do the other to see if power is getting where its suppose to be. Your checking for volt changed .Battery charger checks out good replace batterys that should do it.

Hope I was of some help have a good day.

When charging my jazzy, do I unplug any plugs that controls my jazzy, or leave all plugged in? the reaon ask, green light will not come on the charger, which is onboard charger, unless I unplug controller...

No JJR all the plugs need to remain plugged in. On the Pride chairs the light on the charger will only come on green when the batteries are fully charged. When you unplug the controller the charger thinks the batteries are fully charged and the light comes on. Now the problem is the batteries. If they are old or you have a bad battery then the charger never senses a full charge so no green light. Hope this helps

Sounds like wiring loom or simply the charger is broken. Do you get both lights on the charger or just the power light? Should be a 5 amp charger on those if im not mistaken. Best bet is to get a multimeter, disconect one wire from the one of the batteries and put your multimeter wires between the disconnected battery lead and the battery terminal from which you disconnected it. Put the multimeter on the the 10 amp setting and switch on the charger. See what the reading is. If its zero or very low, would more than likely indicate a faulty charger but still could be the loom or even the scooters main control box, as the charging loom is usuall connected through this. Hope this helps.

Batteries are charged, scooter won't move, no power to display

It is impossible to overcharge with the Pride charger. When the battery is full, it will stop charging and check about oncew a miute to maintain the charge.

Now, when you plug in the key (looks like an audio headset jack) does the battery meter indicate a full charge? Also, the scooter will not move if its in free wheel mode, and it will not move if the charger is plugged in. Beyond these first steps, you will need a voltage meter to troubleshoot.
