Try booting the machine from scratch - as you are waiting for it to boot - tap the DELETE button. I think you may have a bad operating system that got corrupted.
If you can get the machine to go into DOS by - starting the machine and tapping DELETE - [ this does NOT delete anything it is just the process for getting into DOS ]
then once in dos - set the date and time correctly and try to reboot. If the machine doesn't reboot - then try putting the operating system back on your pc. It is an older machine and may need professional hands on work on it. With no fan - it may be just that - the fan is bad- I am replacing one for a customer this week.
Download the repair manual from DELL and read - you will see more that needs attention. My best advice due to the age of your laptop is take it to a professional right away - don't make it any worse than it is.
Please rate me as helpful as this really makes my day.
Also if you comment back right away I will respond right away.

well, i am a litlle as a smal engineer, can you tell me a way to do at
home all the procedures to check what is the fault and to solve ?
I can try. Have you tried any of the remedies I have posted.
1 -Try to boot to the DOS?
A- Turn the pc off - then attempt to boot it and tap the DELETE KEY every 2 seconds to see if the machine will boot to DOS if it does on the opening page is the Date and time - set these to the correct day and time. Then look for SAVE and EXIT instructions in the lower right corner.
If you attempt to do this 3 times - and it won't go to DOS you have basically got a DOA pc.
The fact is -with laptops you will need some training on even replacing the fan [ as you say it doesn't work] and diagnostic software won't do you much good without a pc that will boot and no experience.
I am happy to try to help you. Do you know the operating system on the unit? Do you have the original disk? Do you have any operating system disk what so ever for any operating system?
I suggest strongly you go to dell and download the repair manual it is free. You can do this on another pc read it over. It will be much easier I think on you just to take it to a pro. The parts inside a laptop break almost if you just look at them.
Try to boot your PC to DOS and then comment here how it goes and what you get.

Thank you for the great rating - I think you have some issues I will try to walk you through. The unit not booting is a problem so try going into DOS or have a friend get you there and then - set the DATE and TIME. Come here for more chat and online talking - add RICESKI as a pal and see you there.

Latitude D600 PC Notebook: i have dell latitude D630 laptop when i turn on...

Do you have the drivers and software installed for the bluetooth module - you need to make sure that you have the correct Dell package installed in order for it to be registered.

Have you also checked under the computer device manager - does the bluetooth device show there?

I would also check in the BIOS to ensure that the bluetooth module is showing there and is set to enabled.

Hope this helps

Sir, My DELL laptop ( LATITUDE / D 620 )is 1) Battery Not getting charged; Message says - battery not installed; even the new battery is not being recognized. 2) The underside is getting over heated in...

sounds like either a battery or motherboard problem. Try to restore the default settings in the BIOS and test the system. If this does not help try another battery to test it with your system. if the other battery works, its time to get a new battery. If the same thing happens even with a new battery, it would be a motherboard failure.

Yes please answer the above questions to clear things up.

If its happening in windows, it may be that your power options are putting you in standby. Check these by

1. Right click anywher on the desktop ( not on an ICON)

2. select properties

3. go to the screen saver TAB

4. select the power button at the bottom,

5. Go through each tab and adjust the power settings to your preference.

Thats it.

If its not, then asnwer the above guys comments so we can further troubleshoot.

Bluetooth on but not identified - dell latitude d630

First of all search device from your nokia phone near to your lap-top. If its found your lap, then you have to checkout your lap BT settings.

Other wise go to Device Manager and Uninstall your BT brivers.
After that make reboot then install driver for your lap BT.

You can download the driver for your lap BT from the following link or any where else.:
