Well depending on how long he ran it for, i suspect, it has seized, in the Bore, this is what happens if there is no oil in the mix, it scours out the cylinder and eventually, gets too hot, and quite quickly, will melt and jam up inside the bore of the engine, you must hone the bore and replace with an over size piston, to repair. If it wasn't used for long, and it has just stopped going, then that's a little strange, as apart from the oil, the gas would still make it go fine....it's just missing a tiny, amount of oil, and as such burn leaner too, but should still run. You will have to troubleshoot, the gas, the spark, as usual in that case to see why. It maybe mixture, or spark plush maybe burnt out from the heat too, or instead of?.

Homelike chainsaw carb settings high/low

Hi, most chainsaws start with carb settings at 1&1/4 turns out( hi+lo) usually once the chainsaw has been run in, the 'hi' screw can be turned in an eighth, tickover set low enough not to cut out but high enough not to engage the clutch, cheers Billy

Just got a homelite 33cc 14 inch chain saw, do you mix gas and oil on this chain saw?

Yes you do! The ratio is 50:1 fuel to oil. Be sure to use a modern synthetic saw oil available at home centers, hardware stores, and saw dealers. Be sure to use fresh fuel and mix the two in it's own container. Be sure to shake the container thoroughly each time just before refueling to prevent oil starvation in the engine. Don't make up more than one gallon at a time unless sawing is your business. Hope this helps!

What is the mix for my Homelite 16" 33cc chainsaw?

50:1 is the fuel to oil ratio. Never use petroleum oil (engine or boat motor oil). Always use a synthetic saw oil available from home centers, hardware stores and saw dealers. The bottles are usually graduated to various ratios for a gallon of fresh gas. Always premix in it's own container and shake the container thoroughly each time just before filling the tank to prevent oil starvation. Be sure to use bar/chain oil for the chain as well, and keep the chain sharp and well adjusted. Hope this helps!

What is the oil to gas ratio for a homelite zr 10926 16 chain saw

This is a current Homelite product although not your saw. This clearly recommends 50:1 as do I. I find no OM for your saw, a "Ranger 33cc 16" Chain Saw UT-10926"
http://www.homelite.com/product_manual/file_url/66/UT10540_60_80_QSG.pdf
Dolmar, Echo, Efco, Homelite, Husqvarna, Jonsered, Makita, Oleo-Mac, Red Max, Ryobi, Shindaiwa, Solo, Spear & Jackson, Stihl & Tanaka; all recommend 50:1 and have for a number of years.
1 gallon of premium fuel to 2.6 ounces of quality 2-cycle oil.
4 liters of premium fuel to 80 milliliters of quality 2-cycle oil.

I suggest you contact Homelite and request an OM for your saw.
Homelite/Ryobi.com (Contact Us)

Please ask they prove a link to a site where ALL homelite product OMs may be accessed.
