Question about Panasonic Proline AG-DVC7 Mini DV Digital Camcorder
I have this Parasonic Proline AG-DVC7 Mini DV camcorder. The problem started when it suddenly stopped recording. I thought I was recording, then it recorded nuttin...Then I dissasemble it and took off most of these ribbon-like multi cables, clean 'em with rubbing alcohol and place em back again. Now the flip open display is not working. It doesnt play any pre recorded segments, then I cleaned the head again, also the B&W viewfinder shows the camera scene while on camcorder mode and it goes black for 5 seconds and then shows the image again for other 5 more and so on....Is there any reliable repair guy I can send it to instead of going thru Panasonic on a camcorder whose warranty has already expired? Thanks. MB
Cleaning with rubbing alcohol may have aggravated your problems - rubbing alcohol contains glycerin, which may tend to worsen the connections. to clean the connectors, use only _denatured_alcohol or electrical contact cleaner. the only connectors I have had to clean are the two leading to the video head.
