It would help to know what size breaker is feeding this dryer. If it is a two pole 30 amp, then I would first replace the breaker and see if the problem continues. I would check the name plate ratings of the dryer, should be rated at 229 volts and 30 amps. If it continues to trip the breaker, then I would be looking at the heaters in the dryer as the source of the fault,

Try it with out connecting to your vent and see if it still trips, other wise your vent is still clogged. Also should be good air pushing out the disconnected vent, if not maybe blower wheel clogged.
Another thing is how hot is it getting.Maybe the operating thermostat is getting to hot and never stopping the heat when its supposed to.

Clean Lint Filter Light Keeps Dryer from starting

Evidently the fuse blew for some reason.
Keep the dryer unplugged from power for one hour or so. If it still does start, you will have to take apart the dryer, check the fuse, check the thermal fuse, and test the wirings inside.
If you need to call arepairman use the number listed on the owner manual.

anytime a fuse trips it is due to too much load on a circuit-or over heating-tear down the machine and clean out lint look for it in the ducts that exhausts out of the house and even the outside flap-cheers Denny

My dryer runs for 6 min shuts off says pf

Hi
PF error code indicates power failure and it seems that the thermal fuse that is bad, you can test it with a voltmeter before replacing. This fuse is located inside the rear panel and it cannot be reset. If the fuse tests fine then it is the main board that is bad.

Hope this will help...

Electric dryer will not heat up is there a reset button

Their is no reset button. On the back side of the basic dryer they have the filter and blower housing with temp control klixon and fuse and on the right hand side is the heater with a pair of limits on it which trip if the temp exceeds safe levels due to air restriction. themobilian_565.jpgthemobilian_566.jpgthemobilian_567.jpg

My dryer will run but will not get hot. The trouble shooting guide says that on of the two house fuses in the circuit may be blown or the thermal limiter is tripped. Where are the fuses in the dryer. I...

First id make sure you have both phase of AC power coming into dryer.
Go to your house panel and reset yoru house breaker for the dryer. If in the USA the breaker should be a 240volt / 30amp breaker. It will have two breakers tied together at the trip switch.
If AC power is good at the dryer outlet then it could be one of the followings.

  1. Open Thermal limit fuse or trip switch.
  2. Open Heater Element.
  3. Control board is faulty.

Dryer keeps tripping circuit breaker. neither new.

This is common, I see it about 4 or 5 times a week. Your heating element is broken. The broken end of the element is touching the element housing. This is easy to replace after you remove the back of the dryer.

Dryer won't run right

The motor in your unit has to be replaced. The centrifical sw can't seem to keep the motor going. The shaft may spin freely, but once power is present the shaft locks up therefore your over amping the motor and it then trips the breaker. Since you already had the unit apart you will do fine replacing the motor. Good luck
