Question about HP Compaq nc6000 Notebook

1 Answer

When I move my laptop even an inch or two the cursor doesn't work

Whenever I move my laptop from my table to my knee, vice-versa or simply life it to a new position on my lap the moluse stops responding properly. I can't shift it more than a few inches across my screen and it won't go where I want it. I have to go into mouse in control panel, devices and reset it everytime I have moved it.This is about 30 times a day so is very frustrating. Hope someone can please help me solve this problem. I've heard this a common known fault but have failed to find any solution to it on google searches.

Actually its a problem with the driver which is responsible for the mouse to work.
I am providing you a driver which you need to download and install and accordingly restart the computer.

There is a download tab, click on that and then save it to the desktop screen.Double click on it to install it accordingly.
Hope this works..

I have the NEC versa E6200. Whenever i use it, for about 2 min to 3 min, the computer started to hang and not responding. What should I do??

Have you run a Virus scan and a malware scan? when you say" Whenever i use it, for about 2 min to 3 min, the computer started to hang and not responding" whenever I use it means what just moving the cursor or going online, opening a program etc. could you be a bit more specific that would help in the diagnosis.

I have a dell 9300 that loads bios fine but wont load os even after a complete reinstall? Diag runs threw just fine? it loads to safe mode or normal or bootlog. but then upon entering any option bios...

You might want to play with the BIOS options on the hard drive. If it shows AHCI change it to SCSI then vice versa if the are other options given.
If it still doesn't work, try moving the HDD to a diferent SATA port to check if the OS will load.
If not, it's a possible problem with the HDD.

Let me know what happens next.

Hope this helps!

Just got a new Consew 206 but can't figure out how to install the knee lift onto the head. Can you help me? thank you.

First make sure your oil pan is installed. Sitting at the machine the opening should be to the right. Turn the table upside down. Then move the rod with the two brackets over the opening in the oil pan. The opening should be just below a part with a roller bearing on it. When the knee pad is moved the rod on the shaft comes in contact with the roller bearing and lifts the lever for the walking foot. The front bracket should be about 1 inch from the front of the table and the long rod centered roughly in the left third of the opening in the oil pan. Use a magic marker to mark the holes for the brackets then pre drill your holes. Test moving the rod because if it is too tight in the brackets it won't move when you move the knee pad. I used the part with the curved rod to make contact with the roller bearing. The part for the pad goes in front. Since there were no instructions and Consew was no help I figured it out by trial and error. Hope this helps.

The icons on the desktop are not responding to the cursor

Do you have a wireless mouse? A common symptom of a weak battery is that move works but click doesn't, or vice versa. The solution is to change the batteries in your mouse.
If this is not your problem, please provide more detail.

Erratic cursor

It happens with both? Sounds like it may be a driver or motherboard issue.

Check the HDD for errors with Checkdisk (Start -> Run -> cmd -> Ok -> chkdsk /f
