Question about Epson Office Equipment & Supplies

1 Answer

My print head doesn't seem to be able to align when I try the "print head align" feature that came with my printer. I've run a few iterations of the print head align feature and it doesn't ever seem to get better or have boxes without lines. When I print I've noticed that there's double every everything. Just slightly, but still double. How can I fix this?

I've tried the "print head alignment" feature that came with my printer software. I've run it about 6 times now and it doesn't seem to be doing anything. How many times does it usually take to run before the alignment is correct? Or do I need to try something else?

Most printers have an align command. Your printer manual will tell you how to use it. Failing that, try right clicking on the printer icon at the bottom taskbar to see if you can find it in the menus there.

Sounds like the print head needs alignment. If an "auto" alignment can't or won't be run, somewhere in the maintenance section of your printer driver software should be an operation for running a print head alignment and doing adjustments to get the printer aligned for clear printing. First you should check the maintenance program for "head cleaning" and run a couple of head cleaning cycles to see if a clogged head is the problem...

Will not proceed with reallignment--says to insert paper and press ok but then it doesn't do it.

This device having auto alignment Technic,If print heads are clogged it will not print align page properly result alignment will not completed. In this condition it will ask for align print heads when ever printer switched on. To over come from this situation clean print heads fist, manually or though tool box, then try for align. If printer heads are out of health condition replace faulty print heads then perform align process.

Run a few "print-head-cleaning" cycles, to get the black ink flowing through the ink-jets inside the print-head.

Some printers REQUIRE an "alignment" step every time you change the ink-cartridges.
It only takes a few minutes, and it prints one or two pages of paper.

Canon pixma mp530 not printing colour. The cartridges are new, when I print an alignment, no colour prints, only the black and white. I've performed a clean, deep clean, print head alignment, nozzle...

Inkjet printers need to be used frequently to prevent inkdrying out in the print head nozzles.
If the print head cleaning maintenance routine does not clear the blockages, then print head needs replacing, but it may be expensive.
It may be more cost effective to buy a later model and better printer thanreplace the print head.

All the pages I print are blank. There is sufficient ink the print preview shows the image but the actual print out is blank

Sounds like your print heads are clogged. This is quite common. Go into your printer's menu and find the maintenance menu and follow the steps to clean your print heads. Run the process everal times until the prints are 100%. Then run a printhead alignment. Regardless of whether your not your ink is full, if cleaning the heads several times does not solve the issue, put new ink cartridges in because you may have bad cartridges. If that doesn't work, you've got bigger issues, contact the manufacturer.

Print head seems to be out of alignment. Lines of print seem skewed and blurry. Edges of pictures are not in alignment.

Run the alignment in the maintenance software. Each new print head must be aligned.
Possibly release and remove the print cartridge and reinsert it. Maybe it is skewed.

Did you run the Clean Print Head feature? Did you align print heads and make sure everything is aligned? There are a few tests you can do to make sure everything is lined up correctly. If you need help, try here: http://www.kodak.com/global/en/service/products/ekn033539.jhtml?pq-path=9098

Printing, but not full words Canon i850

Sounds more like the actual print head has become dried out and simply needs to be cleaned. This is a common problem with Canon Bubble and Ink Jet printers.

You should be able to remove the cartridge and then the print head shuttle that moves across the page. Once you have it removed, you will need to get a couple of Q-tip swabs and some DENATURED ALCOHOL, NOT RUBBING ALCOHOL as the water in rubbing alcohol will damage the printer head. Wipe the face of the printer head GENTLY with a moistened swab, you should see the dried ink dissolve, do this a few times until you see no further ink on the swabs.

Allow it to dry for a few minutes and then reinstall it into the printer. You will need to run the alignment function of the printer to ensure that the print is aligned properly. That should do it.

Cheers,

Keith

Red and blue lines across printouts

open printing preferences and click on maintenance. Run the print head alignment utility. Sometimes this will remove the horizontal banding. I had this same problem and had to uninstall the printer and reinstall just like it was new, running the alignment feature before it was corrected. Worked ok for a few days then started again. I assumed that the printhead is bad. To costly to repair and bought a new printer.
