Try disconnecting the power for a minute or two. Usually it doesn't take long to swich between functions.
To get the Seup menu on the screen, you first need to press the Receiver button before pressing Setup. Did you do that?

Hook a monitor to the video output, if picture is present it indicates a problem in the inverter board just below the LCD screen, [more commom] or the backlight behind the display is defective. Now! if both show the same symptom it is most likely the video graphics chip.

We might be having issues with the video card or the LCD

For us to isolate where the problem is coming from

1. Tried accessing the BIOS see if the horizontal lines are present
2. If there are horizontal lines on BIOS definitely the problem is LCD and we to replace it
3. So if we see horizontal lines inside Windows we might have issues with Video Card itself or Video Card driver
4. Try uninstalling the video driver and install a fresh copy of video driver. Else we need to replace the video card
5. Usually laptops have integrated video. So we need to replace Motherboard

HI, we have no sound for the TV, just a picture. We have sound for cd music, xbox, blue ray but cannot get sound for the TV

Had a problem like this on my receiver also. Turns out my receiver is a stripped down model. My receiver even though outputs hdmi to my tv it only carries video. Weird I know but that was the problem. Are you also using a home dish? My fix was using a optical audio cable.

Tell me what components u are using. Maybe I can help.

Lost picture on my AVR-2807

There is a video select button on the receiver. Press it and it toggles through all of the video sources. Keep pressing it until the display says video=source.

No picture sound is ok

For a desktop PC that boots up and produces the normal audio/sounds when booting but would not display anything indicates a possible problem with the video. This could be the:
1. monitor - most likely
2. video cable - seldom but if happens
3. video card - but more often would not even boot the PC>

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.

ZENITH TV, no picture

Sounds like the vertical output IC causing the CRTs to blank you would still have audio and on screen display. Try resoldering the vertical output IC.Thats a common problem

No display info on receiver

Try plugging a video monitor AKA your TV into that monitor output connector on the rear of the yamaha.
Select video in on the TV and see if anything shows up from the yamaha

Sounds though like the receiver has serious issues. If you can get your moeny back , do so

Deleted videos off of computer and time remaining when empty is not 30 min

Hey all, I had the same problem after deleting video on windows explorer. I couldn't figure it out untill I plugged camera into computer and opened files using windows media player. The video I had deleted came up in the playlist. I went to 'open from location' (right click while on the video tag line) And it tookme to a folder named 100video. There was the video I had deleted. So I deleted it from there while still hooked up and now my camera reads 60minutes again. Try it. Good luck
