LG Env VX 9900 is the best music and simple video phone. Do this clean up around the lower MIC portion will keep the sound quality is check.
Are you using a microsd card? If so the music will show up under the sounds menu and not the VCast Music. This should help you. But in order to listen to MP3 files you need to load them onto a microsd card and then put your card into the slot on the enV. This should solve your problem.
I've seen this when the sender uses the 'symbols' selection and chooses a Gemanis...Spanish character -but sends it to a non-enabled phone. ie. She has the 9900 (and does this) and sends it to you... Workaround: none.
