Question about Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition
in this case you better reinstall it from scratch ...and end up with a clean xp on your computer ..I will link you to a great xp ..sp2 ..free and genuine ..but you have to follow the instructions ..
first you need a working computer ..and you have to have in it a utorrent program download from here if you do not have (or any other torrent download-er.. )
just download and install its 2 sec installation ..this will help you download the xp..and by default it will place it in my documents /downloads..
2nd..you will need to have a Nero in your computer ..I only have a Nero 7 link ..but if you have another and its working its fine ..
try to use a computer with xp on so you will not have problems with any of the programs I just gave you ..
in case you do not know , nero is a burner for burning cd and dvd-es..and you need it installed cause the xp that you will download is an Image file and it will open and burn on a disk using Nero..
This is the actuall location for the windows..
on this location ..you will find the image file with the xp ...just be sure you installed the uTorrent and after that click on the download torrent on this location ..than it will ask you to open with ..(choose u torrent) and confirm
it will download the image file in about 15 minutes ,depends on the actual connection you use...and after that it will be in my document /downloads..
To make a bootable disk with windows Xp...just open the folder...insert a new blank cd-r and double click on the image file ..(with the disk icon)..It will automatically start Nero..and you have to click burn..in 4 minutes you will end up with a boot-able windows xp sp2 genuine ..and update-able to sp3..
IMPORTANT -write from the text file in the folder the product key on a paper cause you will need it during the installation ..
when you have the key on paper and the disk in the other ...just insert disk ...start ..press del at start (immediately) and go to bios..here look for boot device ..or sequence..and choose the first boot device CD and save changes by pressing F10.this will restart the computer and will boot from cd and prompt you to press any key to start boot from cd ..From here follow instructions to install the xp..after will prompt you for f8 to license agreement it will detect the previous xp...just choose esc (not repair)..and delete the C partition ..create it again ..and format it using NTFS quick..after that will flow..This way you will save all the files that are in D partition ..including the drivers if you have them stored there ..if not ..when you finish the installation ...look for the drivers on the manufacturer site ..by google for ..manufacturer name +support .This will take you to the manufacturer support site ..there choose download and drivers ..than choose teh model and the operating system ..and download all the drivers except bios update ..after that one by one put them into computer and run them ..this will make the laptop perfect like new and functional...
To avoid future situations like this ...use at least an Free AVG anti-virus no 9 ...and install it first after you have the connection ..this way you will have protection ..little bit..
the other programs are almost all available on free download on the internet..I mean players .and such ..
Have a good day and please do not forget to rate me ...and ask anything you will not understand..

Check with your computer's manufacturer if you are still in warranty. If you are, depending on their policy, you may demand a recoveryOperating System cd from them. If not, you have to purchase the full version of the operating system you want to load to your computer.
