Mitsubishi WT-46807 No power on

When I press the power on button the power indicator turns on for a few seconds and then shuts off. I opened the back pannel and discovered that two fuses f9ao4 and f9ao5 on the switch supplies regulator board are blown.

Thank you for your help. I would have never guessed the horozontal and vertical convergence IC's would have caused these fuses to blow. I will order the parts from the manufacturer and let you know if the repair is a success.

do you need to know where to get new fuses?

  • Benjamin Patri
    Benjamin Patri Mar 29, 2008

Pushing INPUT and MENU simultaneously has to give you a flashing LED
code on the front panel. My guess is that it's 2 flashes, then 2
flashes, then repeat. But you have to check for this code after it has
shut down and it's still plugged in. If you unplug the set, it will
erase the error code, and you'll get 1 flash, then 2 flashes, then
repeat, which means the set didn't detect an error.

My Mitsubishi WT 46807 will not power up. The green light on the front stays on for approximately 2 seconds and then goes out with no audio or visual. I tried unplugging the set for about 15 minutes but...

yes!

When you turn set on and power light goes out do the self check this set has.

On front of set when light goes out press and hold both the Menu and Input (device) buttons at the same time and hold both for at least five seconds and then release both.

Power light will blink a two digit error code like 2 blinks,2 blinks, a pause and repeat it several times.

Let me know what error code you find and I will tell you what it means. Make a comment here and I will assist you.

hi,
Error code 2-2 indicates "Short Protect Circuit" problem in tv.
Need to check pico fuses in power supply as one or two got blown due to bad convergence chips.
Below is an exploded view of tv chassis, power supply and convergence area has been marked to give you better idea to look for pico fuses.
Unplug tv from wall socket before to repair/check any thing inside tv.
Hope these info will help you.
Let me know if you have additional question.
Thanks.

Power trouble

You need a multimeter to diagnos the issue. I have one with the same problem that i had gotten for free. I found that two of the fuses that are soldered to the middle board are bad... i have not tried replacing them yet but i will repost.
