Camcoder ( Panasonic SDR-H280 HDD 3ccd )burst due to high voltage

My friend put the laptop charger pin in to the camcoder and it burst... and it is unable to work thereafter... i went 2 panasonic authorised service center in trichi, he told me that all the circuits boards are gone and need to b change inorder to diagnose the paroblen and it'l cost around 14000rs. im a student and i cant affort this much money... will u plz tell me the actual price of circuit boards...

Maybe just one protection diode has failed. But service centers never replace individual components, always only entire parts like entire board, so that explains the high price.
Probably only few components are blown on the charger circuit, so if you have a friend who is good at electronics he might be able to fix it almost for free. Unfortunaly this can't be diagnosed over internet...

Hi, you can transfer the files to your computer, you just can't use the camera's VideoCam editing software. However, you can still view the movies and photos taken by the camera using standard Windows programs.

Similar to TOD, MOD is a kind of recording format being used in digital tapeless camcorder like JVC, Panasonic, Canon. MOD video format is comparable to XDCAM EX, HDV and AVCHD.

MOD is used exclusively for standard definition video files, while TOD is used for high definition files. Both MOD and TOD are file-based formats that are stored on a random-access media. Directory structure and naming convention are identical except for extensions of media files. Standard definition video is stored in MPEG program stream container files with MOD extension; in most other systems these files have extension MPG or MPEG.

How do i import videos from my HDC-HS20 Panasonic camcoder to a pc?

Since it sounds like you don't have the application CD that comes with the camera, contact Panasonic support on the following page to get a copy. Also, you can download the user manual for free at the same site so that you can see the instructions for downloading stills and video.

I cant upload my videos from my SDR-H40 HDD camera onto my pc


hey bro u know all the cables n the battery charger? u take them ntake the battery outta the camera, put it on the charge, put the battery that connects by cable to the charge in the camera, then plug it all in. should work for ya
