I have 2 blue point air ratchets that dont seem to work

I have 2 blue point air ratchets that I bought at auction that dont seem to work, is there some kind of maintenance needed,They turn/ratchet freely with a wrench but when I add air line to them they dont seem to work they do nothing, maybe they are froze up , need oil ? Or are they Junk? Is blue point a snap on brand, maybe warrantied ? Thanks in advance

Blue Point® is kinda-sorta a Division of Snap-On® Tools, however being labeled "Blue Point", Snap-On only gives them a 90 day to one year warranty, so Snap-On will not help you there. Since you got them at an auction, they may be frozen up as you suggested. I would place both the ratchets in ATF (Transmission Fluid) for a week or so and then try the air line to them again. Transmission fluid does wonders. We used to use it to clean our hands at Dealerships in the Winter to keep our hands from cracking and bleeding. It will loosen up most everything. In fact that's what I currently use in ALL of my air tools as the "few drops of oil" they suggest, before use. If they don't start working after a long soak, then to be cost effective to you, I would find a Harbor Freight® or another such store and buy a new one for as low as $15.99.

I hope this helps you.
