Turn it off, push the front panel menu button… an onscreen menu will appear that you can navigate with the remote… the last item is reset to defaults.

Do you want to reset it so that you clear everything out or just a normal reset? a normal reset you can unplug for 15 seconds then plug it back in or if that doesnt work call your cable company to hit your 6200. whats the matter with the dct?

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.
click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

Motorola DCT6200 DVR Recorder does not play stored video when cable signal is loss

no hard drive in the dct6200 it is not a digital video recorder (dvr)
it can do video on demand which kinda streams to you and can pause and rewind and such.... however, it will not pause live tv or record for later playback...

hope that clears some confusion

Denon AVR-4306 + Motorola DCT-6416 Blanking

Hi Jim,
I tried connecting my dvr via component and optical to see if it was my hdmi or my dvr. Ended up being a bad hdmi plug in back of my amp. I was fortunate enough to have both style connections on my dvr. Hope this helps

Motorola DCT 6200/1000 seems to only have one audio output?

There are three options:

1) Connect the Tivo using the coax output of the cable box into the cable input of the Tivo

2) Exchange cable boxes with your cable provider for one with composite output jacks. It may require you to use a Motorola box that isn't High def depending on what your provider has. I know Comcast has a Motorola HD tuner that has composite outputs as well as component.

3) Upgrade to a Series 3 Tivo. Those units are designed for High Def. Use HDMI cable hookup.
