Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Years ago I purchased a Kinkead Vista-Pivot Shower Door, model 1500-31, Silver. For a variety of reasons the shower didn't get built until recently. However the door opening is now 32.5 inches wide so it...

Ace Hardware sells that door and you will need to see if they can order the parts but it looka like they sell the doors 36" size so when you order you will need to order for the Sterling Plumbing 1500D-36S "Vista Pivot" Shower Door Fits Openings 31 -1/4" To 36" H 66" . Now if you have not completely finished the shower you could always make the door opening fit what you have.

My partner didn't have any idea of fixing a shower door so it can close properly so what he has done is grinded the metal part of the shower frame so the door does not hit it when it close. Now because he...

Hello, W/D here.
You can file and sand the burrs smooth and eliminate the hazard somewhat or you can probably buy a replacement threshold from a local shower builder (really, they're out there). Look in the book for custom shower/bath builders, and they'll have parts. The hardware stores rarely have shower thresholds, but you could look; you may get lucky. Usually, they would rather sell you a kit. We had a replacement shower door built with side panels, and it was pretty easy. If you want a replacement door frame, you can call it that, and they'll know what you mean. If you ask, they'll probably come out and take a look for free, and estimate the cost for them to do it. When we were going to replace our shower door and panels, the cost of them doing it vs. me getting the proper parts and doing it myself were so close that we just let them do it. Sometimes it just works out that way. They measured, built and installed it in several days. Your "repairs" will take much less time.
Best regards, --W/D--

Soap scum on shower doors

We definitely want to stay away from any cleaning products that have an abrasive. Your local grocery or department store will have products specifically for cleaning soap scum. Some products will work better than others depending on the type of mineral content in your water. The best product is one where you don't have to do an excessive amount of scrubbing to remove the hard water and soap scum stains. Be sure to follow the manufacturers instructions for the best results. Again depending on the mineral content of your water you may have to try a few different products until you find one that works the way you want it to. There are also products you can purchase that you would spray onto the glass after a shower to prohibit the buildup of soap scum.

I have a sliding shower door in my bath but unfortunately, I do not know the manufacturer of it. It's about 14 years old and the bottom plastic part that is attached to the bottom of the door has broken...

there is a good chance you won't find this part for a number of reasons,...you'd be best to either change the door (with a "basco" door, great company) of if your feeling some oats, make the part you need.
