What i did when this happened to me was to locate the motherboard battery, removed it for about 30 secs and put it back in. Doing this will reset your bios.

Make sure to unplug the machine first before doing so.

Hope this helps!

Cannot access setup on l305-s5968

If you have forgotten the password, you may have to disconnect the BIOS's battery. This will cause the BIOS to lose it's settings and return them to the default. It should reset the password too. You'll need to refer to your system documentation to locate the battery. It's usually accessed from a panel/door underneath the laptop.

CMOS Password

If it is an older Toshiba, lift the RAM out and with the jumpers shorted with a metallic object power the laptop up momentarily. Power off and replace the RAM.

Dont have bios password and it only just started asking for it?

Unusual that it is asking for this, normally you have to change the cmos battery before this occurs. If you mean what is called the "power on password", this is a security lock and will need Toshiba to unlock it.
Can you clarify if the laptop can get into the bios, or is this locked out by the password request?

Hi i am an indian.sir my laptop toshiba model:satellite A130/A135 Series is asking for bios password.ples help me.

Hi.

If you dont remember the BIOS password, you may remove it by resetting the BIOS password.

Please follow the below steps to reset the BIOS password:

1) Please remove the bottom casing of the Notebook.
2) Once you have removed the below casing, you should be able to see a CMOS Battery.
3) The CMOS Battery will be of a size of a coin.
4) Once you have found the CMOS Battery, please remove and re-insert it again.
5) The CMOS Battery will have the information about the Computer Date, time, BIOS Password etc.,
6) Removing and re-inserting the CMOS Battery will reset these settings, which will also remove the BIOS password.

Please perform the above steps and let me know the results.

Hope this helps.

Please feel free to contact for further information and assistance.

I can not remember my power on password toshiba l305. the unit can not boot, bios cmos can not help.

If you can take the unit apart enough to reach the CMOS battery, remove it for about 20 minutes, then put it back in. This will rest the BIOS password.

Be sure you remove the regular battery first before you open the computer up.

Did this resolve your issue? If so, please rate it.ty.
