Cannot emails


I would guess that you are using Outlook as a mail client. You will need to setup the preferences again. Or use Webmail, (Which is easier, more secure and means you don't lose all your important e-mails when your computer hard drive fails.)

Email Will Receive but Will Not Send b> According to the Radicati Group, a technology market research company, over 107 trillion emails were sent in 2010 -- that's roughly 294 billion emails a day. Moreover, the company estimates that there will be 3.8 billion email accounts by 2014. With so much activity, some users are sure to run into trouble when trying to send a message. If you are receiving emails but can't send them, it may be due to a number of issues, most of which you can quickly fix on your own.
SMTP Authentication b> Many email clients and providers require that your outgoing email messages are authenticated by an SMTP server prior to being sent. This authentication process adds an additional level of security and helps prevent junk mail from being sent out. If you have SMTP authentication disabled, however, your email will not be authenticated and will not be sent, even though you may still receive emails. To fix this issue, enable SMTP authentication by placing a checkmark next to the option in your email client or provider's Settings menu. b> Port 25 Blocking Port 25 is the port that is used to send email. Whenever you attempt to send an email, the email is routed through port 25 and the data is transmitted to remote email servers. If this port is blocked, you will be able to receive email but you will not be able to send it. Some Internet service providers block this port on their servers, so if you suspect that you are unable to send email because of port 25 blocking, contact your ISP and request that the port be unblocked. No Default Email Account b> If you do not have a default email account set up on your email client, and you haven't selected a specific account when composing the message, the client will not be able to deliver your email. A sent email must always be tied to an email account to protect other email users. To remedy this issue, specify a default account in the email client's Account Settings menu, or specify which account you want to send the email from when composing the message. b> Anti-Virus/Anti-Spam Scanner b> If you have an anti-virus or anti-spam scanner installed on your computer or as a plugin for your email client, it may be preventing your emails from being sent. This happens when the scanner times out while scanning an email for viruses or spam content, or when it detects what it believes to be a virus or spam while scanning the message. To remedy this issue, disable the anti-spam or anti-virus program, then send the message as normal.

It is very impossible if I'm going to enumerate the possible causes of this problem since problems with regards to e-mail sending could lie on your account itself, the software you use to send or receive e-mails, to your internet provider, or to the proper address of your recipients. First of all, what does the computer say when you attempt to e-mail your document? Just a sort of suggestion, try to send your email to your own add to check it it has been sent to your recipient.

Sounds like you might have been blacklisted as a spammer. You'll have to contact hotmail for further assistance.

Unable to send e-mail, keep getting an error message


Are you using Yahoo or other 3rd party email or a client (like Outlook)? If you're using Outlook (or other client) you need to re-setup your email address and password so Outlook can connect with your email source.

Using thunderbird mail program on lap top. can receive e-mail, but can not send e-mail on any public wi-fi connection. error message says can not connect to mail server on port 25.


most isp blocks port 25 for sending out mail that's the reason you cant send out mail, ask you wifi(ISP) smtp settings and you need to set it on your smtp server so you can send out mail using thier smtp as outgoing server.

OR ask you email provider about your webmail address and manually send out mail using the web interface of your email hosting.

btw have you try to change you smtp port to 587 sometimes it work.

Check your SMTP settings to make sure you are using the right port numbers.This is usually 25.List any error messages you may have.

Unable to receive incoming E Mail for 3-4 days. I log on, get message "connected - authorizing, then "No items in this view" ?? Can send, but not receive.???


I had this happen once, and in Outlook I clicked Help, then Detect and Repair. It fixed my problem. Try that and see if it works.
