Question about Texas Instruments TI-84 Plus Calculator

Our texas instruments TI84 calculator won't turn on. We've changed the batteries with new ones but it still won't turn on. Any suggestions?

It is possible that it is turned ON but you cannot see what is on the display because the screen is too dim. That often happens after you change batteries.
To make the screen darker

  1. Press the [2nd] key and release it.
  2. Press the [UpArrow] key and HOLD it pressed until the screen darkens to your liking.

Ti84 keys not working

press the clear key if this don' t work try finding the
the reset button in the back of the calculator or remove the batteries from it for one minute and put them back in and turn it back on again . if that fails than buy a new calculator because you got a defective calculator that some how got pass inspection.

TI84 Plus won't start

TI calculators have an annoying habit of dimming the screen when the batteries are changed so that it appears as if the calculator isn't turning on. Turn the calculator on (or at least press the ON key). Press and release the 2ND key. Press and hold the Up-arrow key for a few seconds and see whether the screen becomes legible.

My TI84 does not respond except for sin

if you can open the calc and check if you see some spots of liquid or acid that leak from the batter if yes take the main circuit out and clean the contact if it will not help its an hardware failure
this can be fixed let me know if you want to fix

Just bought the ti84 plus and it wont turn on pls help thanks

Try changing the batteries located on the bottom backside. Otherwise there is not that much too it.

I replaced the new batteries and my Ti84 still alert me that batteries are low, recommend change of batteries, what should i do?

I think you should check it properly that the batteries are good or not sometimes the new one is also bad, check it properly and go to that shop from where you were buy this and replaced it.

take out one battery. hold DEL key and put the it back holding that key.

It should reset everything. I had same problem on ti84
