HI,

You will need a technician to fix this bcecause the power supply is the problem area. set has gone into protection mode. The clicking sound is the protection relay (could be a reed relay which produces very little sound) resetting and looking for power.

It may not be the board, however. It could be something as simple as the rectifier bridge shorted down or a couple of bad/gassy electrolytic caps (that may or may not be mounted on the board).

FEW TROUBLESHOOTING STEPS YOU CAN TRY:

ONE: Check the line cord. Wiggle both ends near the molded part.
TWO: Make sure you have power in the outlet by plugging a lamp into the same exact outlet.
THREE: Do a hard reset; merely unplug the line cord but leave it unplugged for 4 hours before powering up again.
FOUR: If still now power, listen for the clicking of a relay inside the set. If you hear the clicking sound you might hear two clicks; once when the power is first turned on and the second a fraction of a second afterwards. This is the protection circuit switching the set OFF to protect it from further damage. The protection circuit activates whenever there is a internal short in the set.

The whacking test is to just bang or smack the set with your hand on the back, side, top, etc., to see if there are loose connections or cold solder joints inside that are acting up. If so, the banging should knock them back to normal and the set should restore. You might have to use some creative banging and some have had to put a book or magazine under one corner to torque the chassis enough to get it to work reliably.

If this does not solve your problem then the problem then as i told you in the begining you will need a technician to fix this.

Goodluck,
Please don't forget to rate the solution.

Disconnect it from power cable 30 mins, see if this reset works, for the rest sounds like you have a problem with the power unit.

Need TV codes for using the comcast DTA remote

I just went through this last night with combo, similar model. They tell you to use the power off test to see when you've got it - nothing worked for that. Then I tried the Panasonic codes and used the volume control as a test, which is much more important, and I found the 3rd code worked for that. I figured, close enough for me, and better than nothing.

Manual will not help - if you unplugged it all night, and it will still not power up, try one more outlet in the house. If it still will not help, then you need to replace the power supply for the TV. Sorry.

I believe you either have a problem with your Power Supply inside your TV from a defective component in the circuit or you have a problem with the Picture Tube on your TV. I don't recommend you working on TV's by yourself unless you know what you're doing since you can get badly shocked. You need to discharge the Picture Tube on the TV before you work down any further. If you don't know what you're doing then you should get someone that knows what they're doing to work on your TV.

Power light on but nobody's home?

The power supplies in most all the smaller combo units are prone to failure. They feed both the TV and the VCR and are underdesigned as they try to keep the cost of a combo affordable.
I've never had much success solving them - sorry
They always break that last time!

Toshiba TV/DVD combo turns on then off again.

try letting it sit for 15-20 minutes unplugged from the wall and maybe try another outlet depending on if u got plugged in to a power strip, possibly pulling to much power from that perticular outlet.
