Firstly any sign of melting on power wires should indicate DANGER and FIRE Do not attempt to use this appliance or handle the cord while it is plugged to the power. Take it or call in an electrical technician or replace the whole cord for safety. He can also check for any short circuits that may have caused the fault in the first place.

I got a sanyo tv model DS31590 that the cable fitting is broken off i got two more with the same problem how can i fix it without changing the main board at the cost of a new Tv

As long as the tuner that the connector plugs into is not bad/broken then you can re-attach the connector by soldering it to the casing
file or sand both surfaces before soldering and attach a cable to the connector to help dissipate heat while soldering(so the plastic center of connector is not melted) I some times use cold spray (a can of computer duster turned upsidedown) to cool the joint quickly, immeadiatly after soldering.
Good surface preperation and a hot soldering iron (45W or more) are key to doing a good job

My 13" 2001 CRT Daewoo TV cable connection got loose

Yes you can buy the connector at radio shack and I do believe it requires a little bit of soldering but not much , the same thing happened to my tv and we fixed it up no problem.

Loose UHF connector

That connector is just press-fit into a metal shield around the set's tuner. It's commonly broken loose by overtightening the cable connection or tripping over the cable and yanking on it. In bad cases it can be broken completely off the set. It really doesn't "leak" anything but can cause a poor picture and allow interference to get in.

The connector can be soldered back into place with the aid of a suitable-size soldering gun. You should be able to find a TV servicer who still makes house calls. With labor and trip charge, I'd guesstimate around $100. The shop I worked for got $72 for this repair, and that was nearly 10 years ago. It is also possible for do-it-yourselfers to make this repair if they have the soldering skills. But even if you pay someone it's still less than the cost of a new set.

The cable receiver broke off the set

This connector is either mounted right on the tuner or on a small interface box that plugs into the tuner (depends on the model). It can be soldered back into place, but it's not an easy job unless you have the tools and experience with electronic soldering. The connector itself requires high heat to get the connector shell and area where it's mounted hot fast enough to make the connection. This means a soldering gun in the 150-watt range (Weller 8200 is the ol' standard). Then there is also the connection to the center contact which needs to be repaired, and this needs a lower-heat iron. You may also need some light-gage wire to make the connection if the original tab is too short to reach back where it originally went (and usually it is). If the connector was part of the tuner, you'll need to get the tuner open to make the repair, and this sometimes means removing it from the circuit board. You may be able just to pop the cover off and reach the connections; again, depends on the set. I'm not familiar with this model so I can't tell for sure. It sounds like a lot of work, and it can be, but it is certainly possible. (In my road service days we usually saw one or two of these every day. The cable company guys were famous for overtightening their connector and breaking the TV. Or customers would trip over a cable and yank it loose. Our charge was about $60 including the trip.)

Hello the connector on back of my tv came loose how can i diy

You need to remove the tuner from the main circuit board, resolder the cable connector to the metal tuner case, and resolder the connection inside the tuner from the connector center tab to the tuner circuit board.

Removing the tuner requires "solder wick," a copper braid that soaks up the solder as it melts so it can be freed from the board.

Resoldering the connector to the tuner case requires high heat from a soldering gun to get it hot enough fast enough to make the connection. A regular soldering iron won't do the trick.

If the connector has been broken off completely, replacements are available from a couple of on-line vendors (I use a company call MCM Electronics www.mcminone.com.)

If you are not comfortable with electronic soldering and working on TV's, you might want to get an estimate from a shop for this repair. It should be under $100, depending on the shop's rate.

Check the power supply modular cable connection that is by itself in the upper right corner.  On the one my son-in-law has the double yellow jumper wire that connects to this plug in two locations was loose (not properly inserted) in the modular connector and had worked it way out.

Cable connector broke off at solder for GE 27GT722

Common problem Order 215543 from a company such as Union Electronics..1-800-648-6657 Use only the orginal, the replacement melts to quicky from the heat of the solder. They don't have a minimum order. Also make sure all the tuner shield grounds are resoldered. Be careful. easy to solder short.
