Question about Franklin Industries FBC360D Beverage Cooler
I purchased the above Wine Cellar which has discontinued working due to over heating. It was purchased at Home Depot in July 07 and the warranty card sent in. Shortly after installation a "squeaky" noise began occurring. Service was called in May/June 08 (Ref # 41799- Sears Svc). They could not decide which motor (dual) was at fault. A motor was ordered and they adjusted the fittings etc which stopped the "squeaky" noise. The new motor was "not" installed due to not being able to determine "which" motor was at fault. In April 10, the wine cellar began to overheat and cooked the contents of the cooler. Now we are unable to use the wine cellar. How should I proceed with this problem?
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

First question, do you have power to the unit and the cooling fan is not working? If this is the problem then sounds like one of the two fuses in back panel has burnt out.

SOURCE: EVERSTAR COOLER HDBC36ID
Mine is 11 months old - pooling water on right (which is theside i keep colder for beer/soda/water), also my glass door on right has water between panes, I just called franklin (everstar) and they say a service guy will call in 5 days... I hope.
Did you get help and are you 'happy' with the service done?

I returned our unit to Home Depot with relative ease... I think they were all aware there is a problem with these units.
They refunded the full purchase price (even though I was well past the 12-month warranty period). I put the money toward a GE Profile unit that's a little bigger - more expensive, yes; but it works, priceless!

Viking wine coolers are made by Marvel. They all had issues with freezing the contents. If you replace the electronic cold control system it will be fine.If you don't, it will freeze the wine popping the corks and leaking in the unit.If you get the parts from Marvell they are much cheaper.
