Question about Acer Aspire 1690 Notebook
I have recently installed Windows 7 on my Acer Aspire 1690 and am now experiencing a "blue screen" after a few minutes of use. The issue (error - ati3duag.dll) is associated with the ATI Radeon Mobility Adapter x700 which is standard in my machine.
The Windows 7 Problem/Solution "suggestion" tells me that I have a compatibility issue and that I need to upgrade my Direct X drivers to at least version 9. Problem is that I already have these drivers installed! I see that this problem has also happened for other laptops (different brands) with the same display adapter. However, the problem for some of them has been resolved after they have installed the latest updates for Windows 7. Unfortunately, there is no relevant Windows 7 driver/update available affecting my display adapter for my laptop.
Any ideas on how to fix this?
