Question about McCulloch Garden
The problem is likely that the saw has been overheated. What happens now is that the engine loses compression because when it heats up again, the cylinder goes out of round. After cooling off compression returns to normal.
The block has probably been overheated which means the engine is junk.

Check the fuel filter, air cleaner, and muffler for plugging. Check the fuel lines for decay or other damage. Does the primer bulb fill with fuel after several pumps? Make sure the carburetor fasteners are tight. Hope this helps!
