Hi there smallz
This unit from Pioneer will play discs you have burned... CDR format, but not MP3. .
Thanks for using FixYa. Dont forget to hit me up some thumbs for checking that out for you. Cheers
regards
robotek
Its dirty, try a disc cleaner, (brushes not solution) and if that does not work, its time to replace, (unless the radio is all ya want). ALSO- if you are trying to play burnt discs, (cd-r, mp3 discs etc) than that could be the issue as not all indash cd players support non store bought cds
this until has a safety feature installed that will not let you view video while in motion. it has a light green wire on the back that is supposed to be connected to the cars ebrake wire so that in order to view video you would have to have your ebrake ingaged. it also allows you to be able to type in address for the navigation. if this wire is not connect or not connected properly, you will get a messages that says drive can not view video will driving..
double check the connection....or you can just bypass it completely. i have attach a link on how you bypass this feature which will allow you to watch video and type in nav address while drivin http://avic411.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=7998
If your computer recognizes a disc in the drive and operates normally, Id assume you would need a DVD player or codec to be able to actually watch the DVD. PowerDVD rings a bell.
Have you tired that? I know Windows Media Player by default wont let you watch a movie without first downloading a codec.
If the discs PHYSICALLY get stuck, then the mech is damaged. A local shop MAY be able to fix it, but it might be a better investment to just replace the radio.
Sounds like the CDR deck has an issue. When the disc comes out has it's position changed i.e has it been spun at all? Can you hear any motors moving? Does it work with any type of disc ( cd/cdr/cdrw)?
