its not about drivers dear experts its about the battery (believe it or not) just remove battery and you acer-garbage will start connecting to the keyboard again

i had the same problem. apart from keyboard and mousepad, all usb weren't working at all... except the pcmcia slot. so i bought a pcmcia usb card and plugged in the usb mouse and keyboard in those slots. it works! at least on my aspire 5100
You have to go through the Control Panel, double click the mouse icon and find the settings for what is actually called a Glide Pad and change any values from there.
Check driver manager and make sure the drivers havent been deleted, if they have just search for acr drivers on google then go to the actual acer website and get them
