From what I can tell (from photos), you'd hook an equalizer in the Tape 1 or Tape 2 path, where the EQ takes its input from the receiver's Tape 1/2 output and the EQ feeds its output to the receiver's Tape 1/2 input. When you want to switch the EQ into the signal path, you just push the tape monitor button for whichever tape path you hooked up.
Hello I had the same issue the take up reel tensions need to be adjusted try this thread tape so that there is no slack hold one of the tension guide reels try the right one first hold it so that it is in the 12 oclockpostion this is so that it wont retract to the left which will prevent the motor from stopping or going into the cut off position if it continues to play with you holding it in this position the the tension for the reels need adjusting this can be done by slightly turning the blue adjustment knobs that read PLAY / TU 7 FWD 10 one is for 7 inch reel and the other is for 10 inch reels it's the board at the very top of deck when you take the cover off turn them slightly to the left until problem is gone this is what I did and it worked
That's because the take up reel is not turning, sometimes it is because of a bad belt. No way to be 100% certain without looking at it myself, but that is most common. If you check it out yourseld, be sure to get the proper belt and it is put on the right way or you will continue to have problems. Sometimes it is a good idea to have it looked at by an experienced technician. This would ensure that it is fixed properly.
