HELLO

Providing all is well with the TV there is no need to worry. The BONG is the degauss circuit operating for demagnetization of the tube (but this only works from cold switch-on) not STANDBY.

Hope this has answered your question.

My HP officejet printer gives me an error codes stating no connection on printer screen

Have you tried to change the conning plug. If you dont get that "BONG" sound it usually means the printer and PC have not meet (connected).

Try a new cable connecting the Printer & PC.
Good Luck

How do I turn off the start up BONG on the Model Sony Bravia KDL-55HX701?

Welcome to FixYa.

You can try the following:
  • Go to Home Menus
  • Browse to Settings
  • Go to Sound
  • Click on Key Tone on the Sound Menu
  • Select OFF to turn off the sound, this should also turn off the start-up sound.

Thank you for using Fixya.
Have a great day.

Where to insert micro sd card in amkette all in one card reader, in which socket? as there is no marking on the slots.

Turn your computer-speakers on.
Open your "My Computer" window.
Try each of the slots.
Try the SD card "face-up" and "face-down".
When you've done it correctly, Windows will play a "bong-BONG" sound through your speakers, to indicate that it has recognized the device. Also, the "My Computer" window will update.

Can I disable the "BONG" "BONG" "BONG" sound when i leave my key or door open.

it depends on the year. in older fords 1970s through mid-late 90s its the black wire with pink stripe, on newer models with a control module, you would have to modify the module

My Macbook Pro wont boot - stays on the blue screen

The fact that the "BONG" sound (or better known as the MAC CHIME) does come on and nothing further means that the computer cannot find your hard drive or (sometimes worse) cannot find the operating system. This means that you will have to remove the hard drive... then insert it nice and firmly again. Try now to boot. If nothing happens then your drive has gone faulty and it could mean that you may have lost your data... NOT NECESSARILY though.... What I mean by that is that you may still be able to access the dat when you connect the "faulty" drive to another computer via USB with an external casing and then get your DATA off it.

For the first time ever when using my TomTom on a journey, my TomTom receiver made a three bong noise(sounded like a clock chiming) it did it three times in a short distance, and on the return journes it...

It's a settable option in preferences or sometimes you can set it when you first select a map. Its a reminder when moving from one country ( where you drive on the right ) to another country ( where you drive on the left ) to keep on the correct side of the road . It will bong if the road deviates a little from the map or more typical is if you deviate from the route . Such as if you left the route to go into a petrol station , it will bong as you rejoin the road to remind you to drive on the correct side of the road.
Hope this helps , please rate my answer if it meets your requirements.

Lacie 40gb pocket external hard drive

My guess is that it is trying to use a drive letter that is already taken. Make sure the drive is plugged in. Goto Start -> run -> type compmgmt.msc and hit enter. Click on disk management. You should see the drive in the list. Right-click the external drive and click change driver letter. choose a letter that is not already taken. that should do it..
