    Hy
I'read your post, and it helped me a lot. The problem i still have is that after installing windows XP sp2, althou i can see the internet network, i have IP and all, i still don't have a internet conection. I think it's dues to the fact that the motherboard doesn't has the LAN driver (the LAN was made by windows). The BIOS it's updated, it's enabled...so it has to be the motherboard because i've lost the Drivers CD and the SYTNAX homepage doesn't work...What sould i do?!
    Help please!
    Alex

I have a question...isn't it true that if i have windows XP i don't need the drivers for the Syntax SV266A SKA KT266A motherboard anymore. Because, except for the driver sound, everything was actually working (the LAN internet wasn't working because...:D... i forgot about the DNS server.

Well, here is the driver for your chipset:

http://www.viaarena.com/Driver/VIA_4in1_443v.zip

On the board itself, there should be a chip that says Broadcom or 3com or something similar.. That will be your lan card, from there you can find the model number, then just search that number for the drivers

The via vt8235 is actually your south bridge 8x vlink chip.. There must be something else that says Broadcom, 3com, or something else... Do you have the manual to your motherboard, or at least take a picture of it?? If so, I can find what your lan card is...

As for Alex, if you have the same chip set as Timmay1,

you can try this lan driver

    if that doesn't work,

some drivers for your motherboard may not be included in Windows XP. They can't cover them all.. It is possible that XP will find and have everything you need, but a lot of the time, windows will assign generic drivers for your hardware they may hinder performance.. Sometimes, it won't even work at all..

have you gone into the audio properties and adjusted the WAV and master volume?

also, make sure the volume in the program you are using is all the way up (or at least 3/4 or the way)

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!
