No Carlos is right, it auto searches your contacts for either matching numbers or matching names, you're still dialing the numbers entered and the call will complete as requested.

I think this is a normal behavior of WM. As you go dialing, it goes trying to match it against your contacts list, so that you can easily select the one you want to call without even finishing keying his/her number in. You just have to select the name from the list it offers and, with few operations, make the call.
I might be heavily wrong, though.
Just my 2 cents... Carlos

How do you program mobile numbers into the one touch dialing function? It keeps dropping the 0 off at the front and then won't connect to the number.

Exactly what are you programming under the button and are you putting an ACCESS CODE in the number? When you go to the intercom, try dialing "9" or whatever you use to get an outside line. If you use a special line to dial out because you're calling a mobile, then you need to dial 80x instead of 9.

Just an idea.

I have i-mate jama 8050, i can't make call from my mobile,my mobile can call only the contacts which are saved in sim,but not calling on the number which is not in contacts list, please help me,

Your mobile has been programmed to only make calls from your contacts. This is controlled in your settings menu under 'Fixed Dial'. (or similar command). You will need to change this setting.

I do not have a copy of the user guide for your phone but for most phones these are the directions:

When you turn on fixed dialing, you
can call only numbers stored in the
fixed dial list.
Turn fixed dialing on or off:
- > Settings > Security > Fixed Dial
Use the fixed dial list:
- > Settings > Tools > Dialing Services
> Fixed Dial

My blackberry dials + when i dial out of my contacts

There is a setting in Phone Options, Smart Dialing, that is enabled by Default. It is Use "1" for National Dialing, and is in place to avoid you needing to dial 1 or edit your Contacts number, if ever you or them are outside of the local area for the number. Basically you do not need to add the 1 if the call is billed as Long Distance. If the contact you are calling is a local number, you will not be charged long distance if the "1" is entered before the number.

Can't Set up Voice Dialing

Are you saying "name dial" first? Name dial works only with the contacts in the PHONE contact list/ address book, otherwise you have to say "digit dial" and repeat the number. Also make sure you have gone to settings>personalize>voice dial set up, first.

The machine seems to work ok, except when putting in a fax document, inputting the #, and pressing fax start, it pulls the document through, then just beeps every 2 seconds. It then does put out a...

The number that you are sending to is either busy, disconnected, or off the hook. To chek BEFORE dialing press the "HOOK" button (located to the left of the "1" key) and listen to the transmission this will help you in your troubleshooting. If you don't hear a dial tone BEFORE dialing, then the trouble is on your end.
A fast-paced busy signal could indicate a "downed" telephne line.
Finally, sometimes the line that you are sending to has so much stuff hooked up to it (56K dialup fax, multiple phones, alarm system dialer, credit card validator, teenage daughter) that you may be better off e-mailing instead.

920T POI dialing problem

I was having the same problem with TTG910, however, I figure it out. When creating .ov2 files, make sure the format reads as follows:

Wrong:
-66.052647,18.411293,"Netxar Technologies > 7877650058"

Right:
-66.052647,18.411293,"Netxar Technologies > 17877650058"

You must leave a space after the description and add a greater sign, followed by the phone number, and include the "1" in front of it. If you don't it will dial "0117877650058" instead of "17877650058"

Setting up a speed dial

from the website:

How do I set speed dial for one of my contacts? First, find the contact in your Contact List, highlight it, and press OK. Then select Options -> Speed Dialing and press OK.

Choose one of the numbers from the list and select Assign to assign it to your contact. You can now use 1-Touch Dialing for that phone number. Just press and hold that assigned one or two digit number instead of dialing the contact's entire phone number.

boot_c_03.08.00r_mpap Paul Sager from FixYa has posted a solution for this problem previousley (as below). I have tried the Motorola and Verizon sites (tried the store as well) and the software is not available to flash the phone. Do you know of a site that would still have it available? Or can this question be sent to Paul to further comment on it? All I want to do is recover the phone numbers, notes and calandar from the phone via Activesync or Windows. Paul Sager 2335 Solutions July 14, 2010 I can help you with your Motorola Moto Q. What has happened is that the firmware of your phone has become corrupted. When this happens your phone will no longer finish its boot sequence. This is a very common situation with many phones: in fact, much of what I do here at Fixya is explain how people can fix their MP3 players, GPS and phones by reflashing the firmware. The good news is that if you take your phone into your carrier's store, they can reflash it for you right there (if they have a competent tech handy.) If you are comfortable with computers etc, you can also do it yourself. Your computer will communicate with and fix your phone, even though it doesn't seem to recognize it right now - I've seen this many many times. My only warning for you is that if you are going to flash your phone yourself, you need to get the correct firmware from motorola's site for your carrier. I just downloaded the Verizon firmware as an example - Motorola's website has about ten different carrier firmwares for their MotoQ phone. I hope that helps.
