How do I program an AT&T u-verse remote to an ONKYO RC-866M remote

The RC-866M is the remote. What you need to do is add the codes for your Onkyo receiver into the ATT remote. There are 4 or 5 different Uverse remotes, but most can be reprogrammed by pressing the 'Menu' and 'OK' button together. First add your Onkyo codes to the ATT remote as an 'aux' device. After that is working, you can control the power and volume by adding the 'aux' device (Onkyo) to the power and volume buttons on the uverse remote.

These are all the different Onkyo Receiver codes:
Onkyo: 5002, 5018, 5073, 5074, 5075, 5076, 5077, 5078, 5079, 5080, 5081, 5082, 5084, 5085, 5086, 5087, 5130, 5131, 5140

This is how to reprogram the S10 style of Uverse remote:

How do i reprogram my tv remote

Setup codes for RCA tv with this remote control are: 0047, 1047, 1147, 1247, 1347,
1447, 1547

Turn on a desired device (e.g.,VCR or DVD player) and, if
applicable, insert media (e.g., cassette or disc).

Press and hold SET until the LED (red light) blinks twice,
then release SET.

locate the type of device and brand name and then enter
the first four-digit code for your device. If performed correctly,
the LED will blink twice.

Aim the remote control at the device and press POWER
once. The device should turn off. If it does not, repeat
steps 2 through 5, trying each code for your brand until
you find one that works. If it still doesn't work, try
Searching For Your Code on next page.

http://www.remotecentral.com/features/remotes.htm

Instructions
    • 1 Find the brand of the universal remote you own on Internet sites like Remote.com (see Resources below).
    • 2 Click on your universal remote brand on the website to find the code list for that remote.
    • 3 Check to see if your remote is preprogrammed to operate your TV, VCR, or Cable Box using the following codes: TV - 000, VCR - 000, Cable Box - 000, AUX - use VCR code 037.
    • 4 Manually turn on your device. Hold down the "Code Search" button on your remote, then press and release the device button you want to set up until it flashes.
    • 5 Push the power button repeatedly until the device turns off, then hit "Enter."
    • 6 Press any other button while the device is on to see if the device responds. If it does, you don't need to do any other programming. If it doesn't, repeat steps 4-6.

I just need the code to reprogram my remote to my tv cause my kids messed it up I have a Vizio tv ...

This is a simple fix you can find in google. Where I work elderly people are always dropping the remote and they need programming all day long. Simply google your remote controls main website or a link that may have the code listings, once there look for the tv/receiving device's manufactuere and model of the device. You should be able to fine a list of codes " sometimes there are still 20 ish to try " I found it nice to use a sharpie to write the code on the inside of the battery cover. Good luck.
