Question about Televison & Video
An experiment is called for here for confirmation. The system will take video input and process it for display. The MENU is generated internallty and inserted into the viodeo stream later down stream from the processed input. Can you test to see if you get get the menu up after the video quits? This will help to narrow down the problem area to either the dispaly area or the processing area.
If the unit is less than 1 year old, take the results of the above experiment and provide that to the servicer. Otherwise, please update this and we'll proceed to the next step depending upon the results.

I suspect the TV bulb. How long have you been using the TV and have you ever changed the bulb? Usually when TV bulb needs replacement, the TV visual will not be clear.
Also, if your TV is connected to a cable box, I would advice that you check the video cord that connects the cable box or DVD player to the TV. The video cord might be loosing contact.
