One way to access you home email account is through your account provider's webmail portal. The specific address to surf to with your phone will depend on your internet service provider, but they all have webpages you can use to access you email for when you are at a web cafe or with a device like a phone.
Google Mail is integrated with the phone, so another way would be to get a Gmail account and have your gmail account interface with your home email. To teach the phone or Gmail to pickup your email, there are some technical things to find out from Outlook, or whateveremail program you use at home.
